Gypsy Rose Blanchard‘s baby arrived earlier than expected. On Wednesday, Jan. 1, the star’s boyfriend, Ken Urker, kicked off 2025 by announcing that the pair had welcomed their first child together. Although he didn’t give any details, reports say Blanchard actually gave birth last week on Saturday, Dec. 28. The news comes as a nice surprise, considering her due date was supposed to be sometime after the new year. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the little one was born on the one-year anniversary of Blanchard’s prison release.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker Are Officially Parents to A New Baby Girl
According to People, Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker welcomed a baby girl named Aurora Raina Urker at approximately 9:48 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28. She was born weighing 6 lbs. and 5 oz. Coincidentally, she arrived exactly one year after Blanchard was released from prison in December 2023.
After keeping the news under wraps for a few days, Urker finally announced his daughter’s birth on Instagram on Jan. 1. “Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all 👼,” he captioned a photo of the couple with their new bundle of joy.
In the picture, Blanchard is lying down in a hospital bed with Aurora Raina in her arms. Urker is standing beside them as he caresses his daughter’s face. The first-time parents can’t keep their eyes off their baby as they stare at her in complete awe.
Starting Fresh in 2025
The birth of Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s baby is a sign of a new beginning for the couple. This time last year, the star had just gotten out of prison after being locked up for eight years. She initially received a 10-year jail sentence for helping orchestrate her mother’s murder in June 2015. However, Blanchard was released on parole. Her early prison release broke the internet in December 2023. Over the following months, Blanchard continued to make headlines due to her personal life.
Blanchard’s relationship with her then-husband, Ryan Anderson, received much online commentary. Since the couple had married while Blanchard was still in prison, people wondered if they would be able to make their marriage work now that she was no longer behind bars.
While Blanchard and Anderson were happy for a few months, they eventually called it quits in March. Soon afterward, the ex-con had reconciled with Urker, her former fiancé. In July, they announced they were expecting their first child. Now, five months after that, their little one has finally entered the world.
