In the past, ICE was one of the most-talked-about topics in the country and even outside of it. And while it isn’t as prominent as before, people still have their eyes on these “peace enforcers.” To give you an example of how relevant this agency still is, it would seem that a hacker group just released a list of more than 40,000 hidden ICE agents. While this was a huge blow to the DHS, some people are celebrating, as someone is finally unmasking these officers.
The report comes from NPR, which claims that a group of hackers got into the personnel files of some DHS employees and exposed names, phone numbers, and addresses of over 40,000 DHS and ICE agents.
According to the above information, the list is already circulating in some areas and has even landed on a few journalists’ and activists’ desks. What makes the whole situation more shocking is that the leaked information belonged to alleged hidden agents.
While this was a huge blow against the DHS, those who have read the news are not feeling sympathetic toward ICE or the DHS, though. So far, many people are praising the hackers for leaking the list, as some people still believe that ICE needs to stop eventually. And since many are still fighting against this agency, well, they see this as a win.
At the time of writing, it seems the DHS has released a statement regarding the situation. Yet, this seems to be a common occurrence, as there was another huge leak at the beginning of 2026, but this one seems to be even bigger.
In any case, those who saw the news are celebrating in a way, with some even congratulating the hacker group for doing this.
Some Are Praising the Hacker Group’s Work
Just by looking at the comments, people are somehow happy that this happened to the DHS and ICE, with many praising those who leaked the information.
“Hackers doing good.“
“Bringing light into a shadowy government.“
Some have taken a shot at ICE, throwing some ironic remarks at what is happening to them right now.
“Oh no. Hope they are as safe as the immigrants in the US are.“

While one side might be celebrating, the other side sees this as concerning, as no one would expect the DHS to get hacked. Yet, it isn’t the first time, and every leak is just getting worse.
