Halle Bailey debuts a new hairstyle for Halloween, undergoing a complete 360 hair transformation in her iconic costume. On Wednesday, the Grown-ish star debuted her 2024 Halloween costume, featuring an orange ensemble from the 2002 film, Die Another Day, starring Halle Berry as Jinx. Taking to Instagram, the icon shared a series of snaps showing her in the costume, alongside a pic of Halle Berry in the cover image of the actual film.
In the photos, The Little Mermaid star stunned in a skimpy orange two-piece bikini, with a white belt sheath strapped onto her waist. She also included a tiny knife on the waist strap, just like the original Bond Girl photo from Berry’s 2002 film appearance. While Halle Bailey’s Halloween costume seamlessly scored a hundred in terms of the Jinx depiction, fans could not wrap their heads around one tiny detail.
Halle Bailey’s Sexy Halloween Photos Raises Brows
Many stormed the comment section to express shock and disbelief at the singer’s hair transformation, unable to grasp how she managed to fit her signature locks into the cropped wig. Attempting to make sense of it, fans questioned Halle Bailey about her hairstyle secret, demanding she come clean on how she worked her Halloween magic.
Rattled fans pointed out that since making their showbiz debut, Halle and her sister Chloe Bailey have captured hearts with some of the most enviable hairdos, styling their signature locks in ways most could only fantasize about. While they have slowly come to terms with the unsolved mystery behind the sisters’ ever-perfect locks, The Little Mermaid star’s latest hair transformation was on a whole new level. One baffled fan penned,
“Did you photoshop this or have you cut the locks?!
Another wrote,
“The real question is where are her locs? How did they get under that wig?”
A third fired,
“Ok now enough is enough. Halle, how are your locs under here?!?! 😳😂 you two troll us with unbelievable hairstyles on a regular basis but I draw the line here. this is pure magic!!!”
Fans Accuse Halle Bailey of Posting Artificially Generated Pics
Before long, fan theories about Halle Bailey’s bond girl photo, particularly the hair, being AI-generated began to swirl, as they deemed it humanly impossible to fit a “27-piece” lock underneath her tiny Halloween wig. As if anticipating the doubt ahead, the actress shared a “Get Ready With me” video capturing behind-the-scenes of her grand Halloween preparation on Instagram stories. In the clip, the actress’ team expertly tamed her locks before fixing the wig over it and styling accordingly. Yet, even those who saw the clip live before it ran its course on Insta stories found the reality difficult to accept. Reacting to the BTS clip, one fan aired,
“Watching them put her hair under this wig was life-changing lol bodiedddd this.”
Another chimed in,
“The hair stylist needs a James beard award! 🤣🤣🤣🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍 love it!”
Halle Bailey’s Halloween costume portraying Halle Berry’s character in Die Another Day seemingly poked fun at the confusion surrounding their almost identical names. Earlier this year, the two Halles made reference to their identical names following a chance meeting at a sporting event. Sharing snaps from their adorable encounter, the In Your Hands crooner captioned, “When two Halles meet up,” referencing their shared first names.
Beyond the identical names, fans were quick to point out the resemblance between the duo, noting they could easily pass for mother-daughter, or better still doppelgangers in a movie. Bailey’s decision to dress up as Halle Berry’s movie character, complete with the cropped hairstyle, for Halloween, simply solidifies this fact.
