The final trailer for Halloween Kills dropped today and it promises more kills than ever. Taking up exactly where the previous film left off, Laurie Strode and her family must face the consequences of another night filled with torment and Michael Myers.
The new continuation of John Carpenter’s famous horror franchise started in 2018 with a new Halloween. Jamie Lee Curtis took up the mantle of the character that made her a famous screen queen in 1978. 2018’s Halloween and Halloween Kills take place after the first Halloween film and ignores the rest of the franchise, as well as the Rob Zombie remakes. Instead of tales that Laurie was Michael Myers’ sister, these new films mercifully forget that previously established canon. Now Laurie is a traumatized grandmother who has the task of convincing her family that not only was Michael Myers real, but he has returned.

David Gordon Green returns as director for the second film. Green has a horror pedigree which he has put to good use in the past. He will continue the franchise with the future film Halloween Ends. He is also directing a sequel to 1973’s The Exorcist and will be directing episodes of HBO’s Hellraiser show.
