Halo Infinite multiplayer beta details were finally unveiled by 343 Industries according to ComicBook. 343 Industries posted on their official website a list of what players can expect for the first Halo Infinite multiplayer beta, so here’s a taste:
- Arena gameplay vs. Bots
- Arena Maps
- Academy’s Weapon Drills
- Menu & Battle Pass UI
- New Waypoint experiences on web, iOS, and Android
The biggest emphasis they want to focus on is the addition of AI bots; which will be a first for the Halo franchise. After having wanted to involve AI bots for a long time as part of the experience, the team now has the opportunity to do so and fine-tune it so that it works as close to what they envisioned as possible for launch.
Halo Jump to Infinity
The sixth installment in the Halo franchise does not yet have a set release date, although it appears that it will be due this upcoming holiday season. In the lead up to the release, 343 Industries has more betas planned so they can get all the wrinkles on to deliver a sound game, with little to no issues. And if they are being this careful prelaunch, you can bet that they will also be active post-launch with patches to fix any lingering issues.
The plan is to release Halo Infinite on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and the PC. Details on how to join the beta were also posted, along with information like what the data gathered from the beta will be used for. Don’t worry about Googling how to join the beta, click this link and you’ll have all the details. Interestingly enough, they refer to this beta process as a “flight” so strap on your armor, grab your battle rifle, and get ready to take flight as you help shape the future of Halo.
