The full trailer for the Halo television series will debut at halftime during the AFC Championship game (January 30th) on CBS. The brief trailer that we got today shows the live-action armor for Master Chief (played by Pablo Schrieber). The teaser also ends with spoken dialogue from the show’s version of Cortana ( played by Jen Taylor). Taylor also serves as the same character in the game.
The Road to Paramount’s Halo Television Series
Master Chief also briefly appeared in another first look also released by Paramount. The first look provided fans with a look at his iconic MJOLNIR armor. Towards adapting the game, executive producer Kiki Wolfkill said,
The biggest challenge when adapting the game is, the game is designed to put you in Chief’s armor. What we’re asking people to do with the show is sit back and say we’re going to present a side of Chief that you just don’t get to play in the games.
Wolfkill also clarified that the story for the Halo television series would be a new story. Referring to it as “the Halo Silver Timeline,” she says that it will differ from the core canon but also protect it at the same time.
The Halo television series was set to air in 2015 with producer Steven Spielberg. However, the show has been pushed back numerous times until finally landing at Paramount. This version of the Halo tv series is set to star Pablo Schrieber, Natascha McElhone, Yerin Ha, Charlie Murphey, and Jen Taylor. While it does not have a definite release date, the Halo Master Chief television series is expected to air in 2022. It will be a Paramount+ exclusive.
