Food is notoriously bad when you see an actor eating in a scene of a TV show or movie. In an interview on the Today Show, Hannah Waddingham talked about how bad the biscuits on Ted Lasso were until the recipe changed for the better.
In Ted Lasso, Jason Sudeikis’ leading character tries to win over his new coworkers. To win over his boss, Rebecca, played by Hannah Waddingham, he gives her biscuits that she is reluctant about until she gives in and falls in love with the delicious treats. It becomes a major part of their routine as he brings them to her in the morning to start the day.
Watching Hannah Waddingham in those early episodes shows her acting power, as it looks like she genuinely enjoys the biscuits. She said during those early days, the treats were “dry a-holes.” After voicing her criticism, it eventually became something delicious that she “could happily eat.”
“They were dry a-holes of biscuits, at first,” she said. “I complained about them so globally that now they got so much butter and sugar in them, I could happily eat them all day.”

The star was joined by co-creators and co-stars Sudeikis and Brandon Hunt. Toward the end, they were delivered McVities dark chocolate cookies to enjoy, which delighted the Game of Thrones alum to receive her favorite biscuits. It was delivered by Today Show hosts Al Roker, Craig Melvin, and Carson Daly with the sweet treats in a slightly bigger pink box from the Apple TV+ series.
Fans will see Hannah Waddingham enjoy the biscuits from the series one last time as the third and final season has arrived. The premiere has hit the streamer, giving the first of 12 episodes for a weekly release and seeing where Richmond is at since season 2. Due to that breakup from the previous season, Rebecca will have some unpacking to do regarding how she will move on from her ex-husband Rupert (Anthony Head).
