A harassment order against The Flash star Ezra Miller has expired in Massachusetts. Last summer, Shannon Guin and her then-12-year-old nonbinary child accused Miller of threatening and inappropriate behavior. It was one of many accusations brought against Miller following the actor’s disorderly conduct arrest in Hawaii last March. Guin’s accusations resulted in a temporary harassment order against Miller. Deadline reports that the order was lifted during a court case on Friday. Miller had no criminal charges filed against him. The actor’s attorney, Marissa Elkins, insists that all of Miller’s encounters with the child were initiated by Guin. Elkins also said Miller was never alone with the child except for two brief confrontations with several adults present.
Ezra Miller and Attorneys Respond to Harassment Order Expiration
Elkins went on to defend Ezra Miller, saying:
“Frustratingly for Ezra, Guin lodged her false allegations at a time when Ezra was struggling with significant mental health issues, and was unable to come to court to defend themself against the spurious claims made by this individual. Had Ezra been able to appear in court last year and share the truth about their very limited interactions with Ms. Guin, I am confident the original order would have never been issued.”
Miller also issued a statement, saying,
“I’m encouraged by today’s outcome and very grateful at this moment to everyone who has stood beside me and sought to ensure that this egregious misuse of the protective order system was halted.”

Even with this harassment order in Massachusetts dropping, Ezra Miller’s reputation and career may not recover. The disturbing allegations against the actor have included assault charges, accusations of grooming minors, and even leading a cult. While the actor likely hoped that The Flash movie would bring some public redemption, it’s been a failure at the box office. This is likely due to audiences not wanting to support Miller.
