It seems like ICE’s kidnappings aren’t going to stop anytime soon. This, however, doesn’t make them any less disgusting. After Trump passed his Big Beautiful Bill, ICE now has more support and budget than ever. This means that we will keep seeing heartbreaking arrests and people taken from their families. One example happened recently when some heartless ICE agents took a California street vendor who wasn’t harming anyone. What makes this even more sad is the fact that the innocent man was loved by the entire community.
In a video filmed of the kidnapping, the California street vendor is getting handcuffed by ICE agents. Like usual, they have their faces covered which just shows you how “brave” they are. The vendor seems shaken and so is a woman who is with him. The person filming the video asked her if she needed them to do anything, but she said that she got it. There was no resistance from anyone as the agents led the man to one of the several vehicles they had come in. While this seems unlikely, I really hope that the woman can do anything to save him.
People Reacting to the Kidnapping of the California Street Vendor
The entire community in this area in California was left shaken by the arrest. The man was known by almost everyone and this made the entire situation even more heartbreaking. Immediately, people started expressing how terrible they were feeling. One person wrote, “F**k, I was so scared for them, they have been selling here for years! Everyone loves them, you can always see a long line on the weekends, they are a big part of our community, this is so f**king sad, I feel so helpless and hopeless.” Someone else was surprised that no one stood up against the ICE agents. “That place is usually so crowded I thought ICE would get run off by the neighborhood if they came for them.This is horrible,” they wrote.
In relation to Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill, some comments mentioned ICE’s new budget. “Their budget is now bigger than ever before,” one person wrote. Another person replied and said, “The bill sucks all around, but this is the part that scares the shit out of me.” Someone else claimed that things are only going to get worse when one Redditor said, “this is such a stupid mess. We need to get these kidnappers out of California.” Even eyewitnesses repeated that the scene was terrible for locals to witness. “Everyone was shaken,” they wrote. At this point, we can’t do anything but hope that this will stop soon.
