Hideo Kojima, the recently released ex-Konami employee who was the creative mind behind the Metal Gear Solid series of video games has started hinting that he is about to begin releasing a new video series called Hideotube.  Since leaving Konami, Kojima has once again made his presence online known and has been keeping everyone up to date on his various activities ranging from the things he purchases and his activities with his newly founded company to the awards he receives and now the videos he makes.

In this tweet as well as the one below by Kojimas assistant, Ayako Terashima, we see him previewing the first episode of this new series while waiting around at the airport.  Additionally Terashima reveals in her tweet that they are in need of volunteers to provide English subtitles for Hideotube.

Some of the people at Dualshockers have actually done a bit of detective work and managed to translate the text of the logo from the initial tweet:

“…the Japanese name is actually quite catchy: it spells “ヒデチュー” which reads “HideChuu.” The “Chuu” part is written with the first three Katakana characters for “tube” (which is written “チューブ”), but it’s also the Japanese onomatopoeia for a kiss. Basically, it can be read as “Hideo’s Kiss.”

While there are still very few details on Kojima’s next project Hideotube seems very reminiscent of his previous weekly show Kojima Station, wherein he would often give hints and updates about what him and his team were working on and there is a strong possibility that this is his goal with Hideotube as well.

Are you excited by the possible sequel to Kojima Station?  Did you never pay much attention to any of that? Would you rather Hideo Kojima and Co. just spent every waking moment on their next title?  Well let us know in the comments section.
