It’s that time of year again. You’re wracking your brain trying to figure out what kind of presents you should get the gamers’ in your life for the holidays. The Holiday Gift Guide with Capcom’s 2019 Line-Up has plenty to pick from.

It’s been a very good year for Capcom. Some of its best titles are making the rounds. Some are new continuations of beloved series. There have also been some triumphant returns of old games on new platforms.

The Nintendo Switch, in particular, has tons to offer for this year’s Holiday Gift Guide. That’s because the platform has been the landing spot for all kinds of games we loved on machines that are long gone.

Whether the gamer in your life prefers the new games or the older ones, this Holiday Gift Guide has everything you’ll need to check off your shopping list.

Capcom Holiday Gift Guide

Resident Evil 2 Remake

One of the best games of the year headlines the Capcom Holiday Gift Guide. No, this isn’t strictly a brand new game, but it sure feels like one.

That’s thanks to the fact the company went out of its way to make this old classic new and better. Better graphics, better mechanics and a touch scarier. The Holiday season is one people talk about as time to reflect on the past. This reimagining will make any gamer in your life more than happy to open. The best news of all is you can get it plenty cheap from Amazon.

If you want a physical version you can get it for the PS4 for $26.50 but if you’re ok with a digital download you can grab one for just $19.80.

Devil May Cry 5

It appears this might be the last in the long-running series. If it is the end, it comes with a bang. If you want to grab the game now, your best bet is going to be from Target. They have the Xbox One version at just over $30. If you can wait until Black Friday, Best Buy is going to be offering the game for less than $20 on both platforms.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne

One of the most popular games in the Monster Hunter series got a massive update this fall that basically made it a brand new game. Since the expansion’s release, the title has continued to get rave reviews. Now you can get the base game for just $19.99 at Best Buy. If you’re looking for the more complete “master” edition, hold off until Black Friday and you can grab it for just $29.99, about $30 off its usual asking price.

Devil May Cry on the Nintendo Switch

If you’re going to grab Devil May Cry 5 for that special gamer in your life, you might as well get the first in the series as well. These days, you can even get the original Devil May Cry on the Nintendo Switch so you can play it handheld. $19.99 on the Nintendo eShop will allow the gamer in your life to play the game that started it all.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen

Another one of Capcom’s greats on this Holiday Gift Guide is a game that’s been around a while. While it was playable on older platforms, it arrived on the Switch this year and gives gamers another way to play whether at home or on the go.

This is one of the rare games on this list that isn’t getting any known big sales for Black Friday, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth the price. As this is a remaster and a port, it’s coming with a lower price and you can grab at it an outlet like Walmart for $29.90.

Phoenix Wright Trilogy on Nintendo Switch

If the gamer in your life hasn’t gotten a peek at any of the Phoenix Wright games, then now is the time to rectify that. The entire trilogy landed on the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch this fall but the best way to play is absolutely the Switch.

This trilogy was born to be played on handheld devices so the Switch is the best way to allow it to live up to that promise. The good news is the screen is bigger than what you’re going to find on the 3DS. It’s also got all of the games all wrapped into one so you can go to trial again and again and again and forge your path as one of the best attorneys gaming has ever seen.

Resident Evil 0

Capcom has managed to bring most of the games from one of the most revered series in video game history. If you do follow this Holiday Gift Guide and decide to get one or more of the Resident Evil games on offer, then you’re gonna want to get Resident Evil 0 as well.

As with a ton of other games on this list, there’s an added bonus in that you can play this game using the television or carrying it on the go. You can grab it from Best Buy and while there isn’t a big deal of Black Friday offer on this game, this is another one that is already discounted as it’s a rerelease on a new platform and can be had for $29.99.

Resident Evil

If you’re going to get some of the games in the series, you might as well get the original on the Nintendo Switch from the Nintendo eShop. This is the game that started it all. This game isn’t going to have the souped-up graphics of Resident Evil 2, but it’s still plenty good looking and plenty spooky and you can play it on the go.

Resident Evil 4 on Nintendo Switch

If that special gamer in your life is indeed a Resident Evil fan, they need to play Resident Evil 4 on their Nintendo Switch. This title is special because it kicks off a new storyline in the epic saga.

Starting after the Umbrella corporation has been brought down. This one lets you meet new heroes and have all-new adventures. You can grab it on the Nintendo eShop right now for $29.99 and get one fo the best games on this Capcom Holiday Gift Guide.
