At this point, we’ve seen Hollow Knight: Silksong in almost every showcase. From big ones to smaller showcases, and from different companies such as Nintendo and Xbox. However, thanks to the latter and the Xbox Ally handheld, we now have a more tangible release window for Hollow Knight: Silksong. If things go according to plan and we don’t suffer any delays, we might be playing this long-awaited sequel on all the previously announced platforms and now on the go in the new Xbox handhelds.
Hollow Knight: Silksong Is a Day-One Title on Xbox Ally
For many years, we’ve all been looking for clues about the release date of Hollow Knight: Silksong, but now, thanks to Xbox Ally’s upcoming launch, the release window seems more tangible. Or so we hope. If you missed the Xbox Showcase, during the new handheld reveals, it said that Silksong would be a day-one title. In truth, this might not surprise many, especially since we all knew it’d come to Game Pass on day one. However, since the handheld devices will launch during the holiday season this year, we can expect Silksong to launch during that holiday or before. The one sure thing is that it is coming this year, as it has been confirmed countless times.
While this isn’t a proper release date, at least we know it might come on or before the holiday season, which could be on or before November. Then again, this is just speculation, so don’t take this as a definitive answer. Still, seeing that the wait won’t be that long is great. Furthermore, Hollow Knight: Silksong will arrive on yet another handheld platform, the Xbox Ally. This is great as Hollow Knight has always been a perfect game to play on the go or from the comfort of our beds. Plus, if you’re a Game Pass subscriber, you won’t have to pay a lot to enjoy what will surely be yet another hit by Team Cherry.
Also, if you missed the Xbox Ally announcement, we have an article here detailing all its specs. Two platforms are coming, and one of them seems to be more accessible than the other—sort of how Xbox Series X and S work. And remember, any day-one title on Xbox and Game Pass will also land on Xbox Ally, so that’s another good reason to check these new handhelds out.
