Deep Silver has announced that Homefront: The Revolution will be getting a closed beta that will be exclusive to the Xbox One. The beta is set to introduce players to the game’s new mode called Resistance.
Resistance is a four-player co-op mode that you and three other players form a “Resistance Cell” to take the fight to the occupying forces of the KPA. According to Deep Silver, the mode will play out through “thrilling narrative-driven missions” that takes place in Philadelphia.
Players will be able to customize their character and will be able to unlock new abilities, new weapons, and new gear as they progress through Resistance Mode’s 12 missions. According to game director Hasit Zala, players can expect to see another 20 missions released as free DLC.
Resistance Mode will be featured in the closed beta for Homefront: The Revolution. The beta will start on February 11 and end on February 14. To have a chance to take part in the beta, players will have to sign up on the official website with their primary email. There will also be a stress test that players who register on the site can get into. This test will run from January 29 through February 5.
Homefront: The Revolution will also include a story mode that Zala estimates will take players upwards to 30 hours to complete. There will not a head to head game mode included in the game.
Finally, players who pre-order the game will gain access to the “Revolutionary Spirit” pack. This pack comes with instant access to weapons and skins such as Red Skull motorbike skin and the Golden pistol skin for campaign mode. The pack will also include the Marksman Rifle, Sniper Scope, and Remote Explosives for Resistance Mode.
Homefront: The Revolution will launch on May 17 on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
