Mortal Kombat 1 has promised six new fighters as part of its Kombat Pack 1 DLC since last year, adding each with a new season of Invasions. Weeks ago, we had Ermac in season 5, and now the time has come for the revealing trailer of Homelander and Ferra in Mortal Kombat 1. The leader of the Seven and The Boys star character is here for blood, taking out the Fire God with 2 fatalities right off the bat.
Homelander And Ferra Are Koming Soon To Mortal Kombat 1
During the CCXP Mexico, fresh content was revealed for the Mortal Kombat 1. Ed Boon, the creator of MK, had been teasing the upcoming The Boys kombatant over in his X account, and now we’ve got a full teaser about the character.
Besides the Omni Man and Peacemaker, Homelander is the third superhero character to arrive in Mortal Kombat 1. And it seems like the developers have taken it home with the attention to detail about John Gillman. His addiction to milk and even the plane crash scene are part of his intro and fatality/brutality scenes in this trailer.
The arrival of Homelander on Earthrealm couldn’t be more glorious. However, there’s one teeny-tiny detail here that might disappoint some fans; the voice of Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1 isn’t Antony Starr. The actor confirmed this point months ago, and now it’s quite evident that he’s not playing the role in MK1.
On the other hand, we’ve got Ferra. The returning character from Mortal Kombat X, detached from his buddy and partner Torr is now joining the game as a Kameo fighter in Mortal Kombat 1. As seen in the trailer, Ferra is riding on a pile of skeletons before the match, and the recent footage released by Ed Boon himself confirms that she’ll be riding on your main character’s back as part of her Kameo move set.
As of right now, there’s no official release date for the arrival of Homelander and Ferra in Mortal Kombat 1. But it’s not out of this world if NetherRealm Studios let us play the character as soon as the release of The Boys Season 4 series on June 13, 2024.
