Despite the recent release of Fu Xuan, HoYoverse is ready to give us a new version with new characters. As always, to celebrate that and give us a sneak peek, the developers have announced the release date for the Special Program of Honkai Star Rail 1.4. If leaks are true, we might get two new 5-star characters and a possible 4-star character. Yet, we’ll have to wait for the actual date of the live stream to learn what’s in store for us.
Honkai Star Rail 1.4 Special Program Scheduled for September 29
On September 29, 2023, players worldwide can join HoYoverse’s official YouTube channel to catch the Special Program for Honkai Star Rail 1.4. According to recent leaks, this version could bring two new 5-star characters and a 4-star character.
However, this is uncertain and hasn’t been officially confirmed. The strange thing about the announcement is that March 7th appears on the cover of the live stream. As you know, the Traveler and Dan Heng already have new powers, and this might be teasing something for the perky archer. On the other hand, this could be related to her rumored new skin.

These are exciting times for Honkai Star Rail as the 1.4 Special Program could be one of the biggest we’ve had. Besides characters and skins, other leaks have pointed to a possible TCG mode for this gacha game. This information was mentioned in update 1.4, but again, take it with a grain of salt — it’s all speculation for now, and we’ll have to wait for official confirmation.
Hopefully, the upcoming livestream will answer all our questions and give us a better look at all the characters that have been leaked lately. In the meantime, there’s much to do in version 1.3, including the new Swarm Disaster mode.
