Up until Version 2.2, the Trailblazer had already undergone two different elements and paths, and Dan Heng ascended to a 5-star character during the Xianzhou Luofu story. On June 7th, HoYoverse unleashed a wave of surprises with its Special Program 2.3 and a tantalizing teaser during the Summer Game Fest. This unexpected teaser hinted that March 7th might join the Honkai Star Rail upgraded club with a new design. This potential makeover could also be a crucial part of an upcoming event at the Xianzhou Luofu, adding to the game’s unpredictability.
The emergence of rumors and leaks about a new March 7th design is not new. This trend began before the 1.4 update with Aetherium Wars, where March debuted her long-awaited ball gown skin. However, after HoYoverse played a prank by showing the ‘skin’ less than 5 minutes on screen, fans were left uncertain about further changes to March 7th. Yet, Shaoji confirmed in the 2.1 stream that March would get a new form. The writer also mentioned a mechanic where she creates memories and gains strength from them, similar to the Trailblazer’s ability to change Paths. These potential changes in March’s abilities and appearance have sparked a lot of speculation among fans, keeping the excitement high.
I kid you not; all of us fans were overjoyed to see the new outfit of Honkai’s OG waifu. Thanks to Special Program 2.3 and the latest drip marketing, we know a new chapter in The Xianzhou Luofu is coming. Several swordmasters of the Xianzhou Alliance could have a combat event, but how March 7th ends up involved remains to be seen. It is precisely because of the appearance of Jiaoqiu and Yunli in Honkai Star Rail as 5-star characters that fans believe that March 7th will only have a design change and will remain a 4-star.
I am one of those who adored Alchemy Commission’s March 7th look, similar to Jiaoqiu’s clothes, plus her adorable bow-shaped buns. However, the leaks also mentioned that this archer would exchange her bow for two swords. But what intrigues me the most is how March would accept to be part of the combat competition with a weapon she supposedly has not mastered. This could be for fun; maybe a general has convinced her, or somehow, in her memories, she remembers that she knows how to use other weapons. I am thrilled to see March 7th back at a major Honkai Star Rail event and see her have a new design with all her personality to show off for the occasion.
