Honkai Star Rail had a great start by including many features that arrived in other HoYoverse games way later. One of the things that players love the most is companion quests because they give more background information about the already lovable characters. These quests are permanent once they arrive, and contrary to Genshin Impact or other games, you don’t have to do many things to unlock them. The 1.1 version of Honkai Star Rail brought Yanqing’s quest, ‘ Frosty Blade’s Trial.’ Unlocking and completing this quest isn’t hard, and it is an excellent way to get some Stellar Jade and learn more about Jing Yuan’s retainer.
How To Unlock ‘Frosty Blade’s Trial’ in Honkai Star Rail
To play Yanqing’s quest in Honkai Star Rail, reach Trailblazer Level 34 and finish the Main Story until the quest ‘Humming Antlers, Entwined Horns.‘ Once you meet these requirements, you can unlock a ‘Frosty Blade’s Trial’ quest in Honkai Star Rail. Thankfully, you don’t need to get any new currency to unlock these missions, which Genshin Impact requires players to do. You’re good to go as long as you finish most of the main story and have the required level!
How To Complete ‘Frosty Blade’s Trial’
This new quest will see you travel to different locations inside the Xianzhou and fight a few enemies. Plus, it is an excellent chance to try Yanqing if you haven’t gotten him from the standard banner yet. These are the steps you need to follow to complete the quest:
- Interact with Diting.
- Talk to March 7th to translate Diting’s barks.
- Follow Diting and inspect the item on the ground.
- Locate 3 out of 5 clues in the area.
- Follow the marker until you meet Jing Yuan’s former master.
- Solve the Abacus puzzle.
- Prepare for a fight inside the Artisanship Commission.
- Get ready for another battle, this time with a guest character.
- Deliver the item to Jing Yuan inside the Seat of Divine Foresight.
Of all the companion quests in Honkai Star Rail, this one is one of the best, as it foreshadows many things. We won’t spoil too much, but there are clues about what might happen in future updates. The Xianzhou’s story ended up with a cliffhanger, and we’ll surely get more of it in the following months. Yet, this mission is excellent as it shows what is happening with some key figures of this place and what role they’ll play later.
