There has been a horrifying accident in Louisville, Kentucky as a UPS plane headed to Honolulu crashed right after take-off. Flight 2976 crashed around 5 pm local time and a video is circulating of what happened. In the terrifying video filmed by people in a passing car, large clouds of smoke and fire are visible. Both the smoke and fire were reaching high in the sky which made it more terrifying. It was clear that those filming were left in a state of panic at what they were witnessing. Of course, cars started driving away fearing for their own safety. According to a statement from UPS, there were three crew members on board the flight.
Unfortunately, the Louisville Metro Police Department shared via X that injuries have been reported. Currently, the FAA and NTSB will investigate what happened. There are other agencies involved, too, as LMPD reported that “LMPD and multiple other agencies are responding to reports of a plane crash near Fern Valley and Grade Lane. Grade lane will be closed indefinitely between Stooges and Crittenden.” Hopefully, all those involved will be okay as more updates are shared.
People Reacting to the Horrifying Louisville Crash
People were left terrified by the crash that took place in Louisville. The short video shared of the accident could make anyone at a loss for words. One person couldn’t help but say, “Oh my god.” A debate also started in the comment section as some people tried to feel grateful that it wasn’t a passenger plane. “The only consolation is that it was a UPS plane, so it probably only had two people on board. Still terrible and my heart goes out to the families of the deceased, but I would be lying if I didn’t say I was a little relieved when I found out it wasn’t a passenger flight,” one person said. It is still unfortunate.
More videos are starting to appear of the Louisville crash, and of course, people have started guessing its outcome. Unfortunately, a lot of people believe that there will be casualties. “WDRB showed the explosion video. No one on board could have survived,” one Redditor wrote. Several comments also shared their shock at the amount of smoke caused by the crash. “This is one of the biggest fireballs I’ve ever seen… Jesus,” one person wrote. Someone else tried to explain why it caused all of this smoke as they said, “WLKY reports it was a UPS cargo plane with 12 hours worth of fuel so that’s probably why it’s such a big area of impact.” Our hearts go out to all those affected. It’s a sight no one ever wants to see.
