Lethal Company mods aim to make the game a better experience. Some mods, like the Mimic Mod, add a really wild extra to the game. Players will need to watch out for mimics disguised as fake fire exits. These exits have very few features that differ from regular fire exits, making them tough to spot. Fortunately, we can jump in exactly how the fake fire exits work in Lethal Company, as well as explain what the Mimic Mod does.

The Mimic Mod for mimics to be fake fire exits in Lethal Company can be added via Thunderstore. When playing it, you’ll need to watch out for mimics disguised as fake fire exits. If you happen to open one of these doors, you’ll immediately be engulfed by a set of teeth. It’s an automatic kill once you’re in its clutches.

While running the mod, we recommend having one crew member go through the doors to see which ones are real. That way, they’ll be easier to identify and avoid as you progress on the moon. We also recommend memorizing how many fire exits are on each moon. It’ll make identifying which ones could be fake less nerve-wracking. Especially in the inevitable situation where you see two fire exits in the same room. Fortunately, there are a few differences between normal fire exits and the mimic ones.

How Can You Tell Which Fire Exit Is A Mimic?

Fortunately, there are a couple of ways that you can tell which fire exit is a mimic:

  • The door says Die or Feed instead of Exit.
  • The light above it is brighter than usual.
  • The door is a slightly different red than normal fire exits.

Lethal Company is available to play on PC.
