How Long is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2? Answered

Dozens of hours in Bohemia

As expected, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a long game that improves upon almost everything from its predecessor to give players a more immersive and reactive experience. Quests have more depth. Combat feels much smoother. And the two regions to explore are packed with secrets, optional missions, and many things to discover. With that in mind, many might be expecting an adventure that will take them dozens of hours to complete. Yet, if you want to do only one playthrough or maybe more than one but tackle them as fast as possible, here’s how long it takes to beat KCD 2.

How Long Does It Take to Beat Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?

The exact playtime will vary depending on the player, so here’s an estimation according to my first playthrough.

During my first run, I didn’t do all the optional quests or explore the whole map. Furthermore, I failed some quests once I took some of the game’s points of no return in both regions. With that in mind, it took me 72 hours to complete the game. However, the developers claim it can take players over 100 hours, which seems quite accurate after my first playthrough. Again, I skipped many things, so if I had finished a few more quests, my playtime might’ve been longer.

Can You Keep Playing After Finishing The Campaign?

One good thing about Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is that you can continue playing after you finish the story, regardless of how long it takes you to do so. You can still roam around the map, complete quests that aren’t timed, and keep leveling your skills. So far, it doesn’t seem like there’s a time limit when free roaming after the campaign, so you can complete almost everything after the story. Yet, I don’t recommend it. Reaching the second point of no return will fail some missions, and you’ll even lose one of the game’s best weapons, so it is better to tackle everything before reaching the end. Also, I haven’t found any quests that are exclusive to the post-game part, so it might be better to finish everything before you see the conclusion to Henry’s epic journey.
