With the arrival of Chapter 5 Season 2 Myths and Mortals in Fortnite, the game has undergone many changes. New weapons, new locations, new Mythics, and even a few Olympian Gods have been added as bosses. These are just a few changes added to the Myths and Mortals Season. Furthermore, another important change is the addition of Shadow Briefings. You’ll be using Shadow Briefings to earn Gold and complete your Fortnite Quests. So it’s good to know how they work and where to find them.

Think of Shadow Briefings in Fortnite as the Job Board from earlier seasons of the game. In the old Job Boards, we could only get a Bounty mission, we would accept the mission and a random player close to us would become our target. When we killed them, we would get 100 Gold.

These Shadow Briefings are a new addition to Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, and you can think of them as a mechanism to receive quests and earn Gold. However, you can get more useful quests than just the Bounty quest.

All Shadow Briefings Quests

  • Bounty: As before, the Bounty objective gives you another player as a target and you have to eliminate them.
  • Plunder: When you accept the Plunder mission, you’ll be asked to go to the area where the treasures are buried and dig them up. Doing so will give you two Rare Chests.
  • Supply Drop: When you accept this quest, a Supply Drop will land 300 to 500 meters from you. When you open this Supply Drop, your quest is complete.
  • Vehicle: When you accept the Vehicle quest, a vehicle will spawn nearby and you will be asked to travel in it for a while to complete the quest.

Spawn points for Shadow Briefings in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 are not exact. To put it more clearly, a Shadow Briefing location that you see in a video or article may not be there when you get there. The reason for this is that Shadow Briefings spawn in random places every game from a certain spawn pool.

So they don’t have a precise location, but they are quite easy to find once you know where you can find them. You can encounter Shadow Briefings in Fortnite in almost all Named Locations or popular landing locations.

If you want to find Shadow Briefings, check the following locations regularly:

  • Grand Glacier
  • Mount Olympus
  • Brawler’s Battleground
  • Orchard Station
  • Fencing Fields
  • Pleasant Piazza
  • Grim Gate
  • Classy Courts
  • Reckless Railways
  • Restored Reels

When you get close to them, you can see them in your mini-map.
