A new expansion for The Sims 4 allows players to make their own Nectar, but many want to know to age the valuable liquid to be more profitable. Nectar making is part of the Horse Ranch Expansion Pack. If you buy the expansion, you’ll gain access to a new area to create your own ranch. You can do various activities and hobbies on the ranch in Sims 4, including managing horses, building your own farm, and making Nectar. The item is essentially wine in the Sims universe, and just like real wine, you can age it.

Before you can age Nectar in The Sims 4, you first need to purchase a stackable shelf rack. A normal rack that can store ten to thirteen bottles will cost you 300 Simoleons. Once you’ve bought the rack and placed it inside your ranch, you can start aging Nectar.

The Nectar goes into a bottle after you make it in Sims 4. The bottle will automatically be in your inventory. Make and collect as many Nectar bottles as you can before you put the bottles in the rack. All you have to do is wait after you place the bottles on the rack.

To check how much the Nectar has aged, click on the shelf rack and pick Open. You can then hover over all the bottles in storage and see how much they’ve aged.

There are three categories of Aged Nectar:

  • Lightly Aged: Left on the rack for approximately two in-game days.
  • Moderately Aged: Left on the rack for around five in-game days.
  • Finely Aged: Left on the rack for about eight in-game days.

How To Make Nectar in The Sims 4

First, spend 350 Simoleons to purchase a Nectar Maker in The Sims 4. You can place the machine anywhere on your ranch. Interact with the Nectar Maker to select the Craft Nectar option to begin.

The machine will give a menu where you can choose all the available recipes. The recipes available are decided by what ingredients you have in your inventory. Most Nectar is made of fruit, and you can only buy Grapes and Apples when you start.

The Nectar Maker will allow you to purchase some of the ingredients, but you can also grow your own fruits and vegetables to use on the machine on your ranch. Once you have the right ingredients and select the recipe you want to craft, your Sim will make the Nectar.

You can level up your Nectar-making skills by continuing to make bottles. The maximum level you can reach is Level 5. Specific recipes are only available on higher levels.

Your Sim can drink Nectar to earn various buffs. The effects are not consistent among the different Nectar bottles. You can sell bottles of Nectars to earn a profit. Nectar bottles sell more if you age them, making it worth leaving them on a storage rack.
