The three ancient dragons on top of the towers are one of the final challenges you can attempt during the end game. One could argue that they were even harder than the final boss. However, beating these three bosses can reward you with special gear that will be useful in the final dungeon. Devourer of Flames is the dragon boss at The Spire of Blind Faith in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Depending on how many dragons you’ve fought, beating this monster can be easy or very challenging.
The Spire of Blind Faith Boss Fight Guide
Before you attempt to challenge The Spire of Blind Faith boss, I suggest defeating the other two dragon bosses first. Each dragon will give you a piece of armor that lets you block fire attacks which will be useful during this battle. As you can see, Devourer of Flames is very fiery and will use a ton of fire-based attacks.
Besides using flames, the monster can also inflict the Charm status effect on your party. This is a troublesome issue since your own allies can easily beat the rest of your party members. Besides using Patra or Me Patra, you can also equip Narcissus Brooch, which you obtain after beating Milo.
Lastly, the dragon can also use Slash and Strike attacks to inflict physical damage. It’s best if you avoid using Archetype with these weaknesses, or you can give an extra turn to the boss.

Best Team Comp To Beat Devourer of Flames in Metaphor: ReFantazio
Here is the team comp you can use to beat Devourer of Flames at The Spire of Blind Faith:
- Prince – Protagonist
- Healer – Eupha
- Warlord – Strohl
- Faker – Junah
As usual, the Prince Archetype is still the best class you can use for the protagonist. Besides being resistant to all attack types, you can also use Royal Slash to deal Almighty damage. This is the best way to inflict damage on bosses during the end game.
You will also need a Healer since Devourer of Flames will hurt your whole party during each turn. I don’t recommend on holding back on healing since the boss can easily kill you. Besides reviving your fallen ally, you can also cast Patrecarm to allow your units to tank a fatal attack once.
A Warlord Archetype will be necessary if you want to buff your damage dealer. This class can also use Megido, which is another skill that can inflict Almighty damage. Of course, the dragon can also strip you away from your buffs, so you need to be careful when you use them. Besides boosting Attack, you can also increase your team’s Evasion so you may have a higher chance of dodging the Flamespire of Ruin.
The Faker Lineage is mostly centered around debuffing. While you can debuff Devourer of Flames, the dragon can easily remove these negative effects. However, I still recommend having this class since it can use Repel so you can tank the Flamespire of Ruin.
Equipping the Cardinal Dragon equipment will be crucial in this fight. If you have two, that will guarantee that half of your party members won’t fall when the dragon uses the Flamespire of Ruin. For the rest of your allies, you can use the Faker’s Repel ability to stop it from killing them. Of course, the boss may use other attacks, and there’s a chance you’ll waste that shield.
