How To Get to the Curator Boss
Diablo 4 has four World Tiers. The higher the Tier, the more dangerous the enemies become. But, along with this, the quality of the loot you can get from them also increases. Therefore, you will definitely want to reach Tier 3 or Tier 4 for the best drops. But let’s talk about everything in order.
To unlock World Tier 3, you need to complete the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon quest, which will become available to you once you’ve completed all the story quests. So, head to Kyovashad, and there you can find the Cathedral of Light Capstone Dungeon. This dungeon is divided into two Dungeons. And before you fight The Curator, you need to defeat the High Council. Only after that, you will get to The Curator Boss. However, you should prepare for this Dungeon, as inside you encounter level 50 enemies. It is worth noting that the strength of the enemies will not increase if you have a higher level. Therefore, you can make your life much easier by entering the Dungeon after reaching level 50 or above.
How To Defeat The Curator in Diablo 4
Well, The Curator is a rather aggressive boss in Diablo 4. It looks like a huge lich as it uses a Scythe in battle. And trust us, it knows how to use it for its intended purpose. Therefore, you need to prepare and memorize all of The Curator’s attacks to beat it in Diablo 4:
- Scythe Slash – This is The Curator’s basic attack that it will use whenever you approach it from the front. Be careful as the Scythe Slash has a pretty high range, so you will need a movement skill to get away from this attack before you take massive damage.
- Summon Skeletons – The Curator can summon Skeletons and Skeleton Ballistas. The latter is especially dangerous, as they spawn far away from you and shoot very accurately. Regular Skeletons are no less annoying, as they interfere with damaging the Boss. To deal with them, you will need a few more players who will either attack the Boss or destroy the Skeletons.
- Homing Skulls – The Boss can launch several homing Skulls at you. Dodging all of them is quite difficult, but fortunately, they do not do much damage.
- Long-Range Scythe Slash – The Curator can attack Scythe in five directions in front of it. You can save yourself from these “lines” simply by standing between them or by going behind the Boss’s back. However, it can also attack with three “lines” three times in a row. And every time The Curator will teleport to hit you. You need to dodge a little to get between the “lines” three times until the Boss finishes the combo.
- Energy Cyclones – The Curator can launch several cyclones that will randomly move around the room and deal damage to anyone who touches them. Moreover, your view is significantly reduced while you are in the cyclone. But dodging them is pretty easy.
- Bone Wall – When the Boss takes significant damage, it will start creating Bone Walls. These walls just keep you from getting to The Curator at first. But after a certain time, they can explode and damage you.
And yes, The Curator will use these attacks one by one. Therefore, you must find teammates who will help you. And before the fight, you should be divided into those who will only attack the Boss and those who will fight everything else. We also recommend that you make an Elixir of Undead-Slaying which will help you deal more damage and bring more Healing Potions. This way, you can defeat the Boss and unlock World Tier 3. However, as is common in all Blizzard games, your level and skills can be absolutely useless since the Boss can be bugged.
How To Fix the Curator Bug in Diablo 4
While fighting this enemy may see victory within reach. But suddenly, when The Curator has about 5% health left, it can just disappear along with its skeletons. Therefore, all you have to do is close the game and then enter it again. If you are lucky, you can quickly run to the Boss and fight it again to defeat it this time. If not, you have to repeat the re-login to the game several times. You can also try switching to World Tier 1 and then back to World Tier 2 to fix The Curator Bug.
