If you want to assign your skills to the skill bar in Diablo 4, it will only take a few seconds. Once you have purchased an active skill with a skill point, the rest is pretty easy in Diablo 4.

Perform the following steps on PC:

  • First, open the Skill Tree menu. This can be done quickly by pressing the A key on your keyboard. Here you can see all the skills you can activate.
  • After activating the skills to your liking, go to the Skill Assignment section. The shortcut for this section is the S key on your keyboard. All available skills will appear here.
  • Next, you can simply drag the skill to an empty slot on your hotbar. While playing each class, you have a maximum of six slots, and you can place the skills you want in these slots.

Perform the following steps on consoles:

  • First, open your Skill Tree to activate your skills.
  • After activating your skills, press the button prompt on the bottom left to bring up the Skill Assignment menu. You can open this menu by pressing L3 or the designated button on PS.
  • Then, press the left stick and drag your active skills to your hotbar. Now you can use your skills as you wish.

If you wish the change the skill controls, you can always go to settings and bind new keys on your skill bar in Diablo 4. It’s under the “Gameplay” tab as Skill Slot 1, 2, 3, 4, Core Skill Slot and Basic Skill Slot.
