To breed beasts in Hogwarts Legacy, you need a male and a female of the same species, an unlocked Vivarium, and a Breeding Pen. Don’t fear; we are here to explain everything regarding this in-game mechanic in Hogwarts Legacy.
Follow these simple steps:
- Be sure you have completed the main quest ‘The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom’ to get a Nab-Sack.
- Complete two side quests for house elf Deek, ‘Plight of the House Elf and ‘Charles Rockwood’s Trial.’
- If these quests are done, now launch the quest ‘Foal of the Dead.’ Deek will give you this quest.
- To complete the quest, you will need to buy a Breeding Pen from tomes and Scrolls. Unfortunately, Breeding Pen costs 1,000 Galleons.
- The second part of the quest tasks you to capture male and female Thestrals.
Now that you have done all this, we move on to how to breed beasts in Hogwarts Legacy. Go back to Deek in the Room of Requirement. This will unlock the Vivarium.
- Build the Breeding Pen, which will cost you 15 Moonstones.
- Put the Thestrals you caught in the Vivarium you previously unlocked.
