Want to know how to catch Legend Fish in Stardew Valley? Despite the variety of in-game activities in Stardew Valley, fishing is one of the favorites for many players. Using fish, you can cook delicious meals, earn money, or even give a gift to some NPCs to start a family. But some fish are practically useless and are more of a valuable trophy than helpful food, and Legend Fish is one of them. To catch Legend Fish in Stardew Valley, you’ll have to meet several conditions, but we’ll guide you through the process.

First, it is worth noting that the Legend Fish is one of the five legendary fish and one of the rarest trophies for any fisherman in Stardew Valley. You can only catch Legend fish once during your entire adventure. If you’re playing co-op, each player can only get one of these fish.

But if you want to get the most out of the game and catch all the fish in the game, here is what you have to do to catch Legend Fish in Stardew Valley:

  • You can only find it in Spring during Rainy weather.
  • You must reach Fishing Level 10. Temporary increases to your Fishing level via Fishing Buffs also count.
  • It spawns only in The Mountain Lake. You can only encounter it in Fishing Zone 5. There must be at least five blocks from your rod’s float to any obstacle.

Once you have met all the conditions above, start fishing. With a 10% chance, Legend Fish will bite on your bait, and you will immediately notice it. Catching this fish is more difficult than others, so you will have to put in a lot of effort.

It is also worth mentioning baits separately. Using Curiosity Lure, you can increase your chance of catching your desired trophy by up to 20%. At the same time, Magic Bait removes the weather or season restriction.

As we said earlier, Legend Fish is a trophy, so its practical uses are limited. On the other hand, if you catch even one, you can sell it for 5,000 – 15,000g depending on the rarity. Also, you can give it to someone from the NPC, but this is a bad idea, as nobody likes it.

However, the worst decision would be cooking this fish into meal. The Legend Fish is a one-of-kind collectible, so making regular Maki Rolls, Sashimi, or Quality Fertilizer out of it is far from ideal.

Stardew Valley is available on PC, Mobile, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
