Playing Coral Island, players will have a huge selection of insects to find and collect. Sometimes you will encounter a particular bug that isn’t so easy to find, such as Rove Beetle. The game says that it is a rare insect, but it is perhaps the hardest to find on the island. And since it is needed for one of the Offerings, you will have to find and catch the Rove Beetle in Coral Island. Luckily for you, we know how to do this pretty quickly.

Among all the insects in Coral Island, the Rove Beetle is one of the rarest. This black-and-orange insect only spawns at night and also prefers certain seasons, namely Fall and Winter. Moreover, players can only catch the Rove Beetle if the weather is Storm, Rain, or Sunny at night.

However, even if you know the correct spawn time for this insect, you will still have to spend quite a lot of time finding its locations. We recommend you look for it in the Garden Lane and Vineyard locations. Also, some players have reported being able to catch a Rove Beetle in Coral Island near the river not far from the farm. To get to this place you need to go right from the farm and then go down along the river.

To catch insects you will need a Bug net. But we recommend that you use a Silver or even a Gold bug net, as the Rove Beetle can quickly fly away from you. As an alternative, players can place Ground Insect Traps in the locations described above and check them every day.

What Can the Rove Beetle Be Used For?

The first and most important thing you need the Rove Beetle for in Coral Island is the Night Insect Offering in the Catch altar. As a reward for this, you will receive a Tap. In addition, the insect can be used as a gift. But despite its rarity and difficulty of catching, the Rove Beetle is only liked by Eleanor. Grog is neutral to this bug, while the others just hate it. And of course, you can sell it for at least 220 Coins.

That’s all you need to know about how to find and catch the Rove Beetle in Coral Island. Hunting bugs is a great way to take your mind off the daily grind of the game, but this bug might make you hate this activity. Therefore, if you catch one, be sure to put it in the insect house.
