This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

“A Monstrous Collection 2” is the second part of a questline in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. This time, Link will have to take a photo of an enemy called Horriblin. These horrible creatures lurk in the dark and are not particularly easy to find in normal plains. If you have trouble locating one, this Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom guide will help you complete the “A Monstrous Collection 2” Side Adventure.

Before you can run “A Monstrous Collection 2” and its questline in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you have to complete another quest first. Said quest is the “Mattison’s Independence” Side Adventure. Once done, you can finally speak with Kilton at Tarrey Town to start the “A Monstrous Collection 2” Side Adventure.

This time around, Kilton wants Hudson to create a sculpture of a Horriblin. While finding Horriblin shouldn’t be too hard, you will have to venture into caves or even the dangerous Depths. They are often seen crawling on the caverns’ ceilings and walls. For that reason, you might want to prepare yourself when tackling “A Monstrous Collection 2” in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Similar to the Bokoblins, there are four types of Horriblin. Normal or Red ones, Blue, Black, and Silver. Below is the list of their general locations all over Hyrule. Some players also recommend going into the Colosseum’s Depth to locate a bunch of Horriblins.

Horriblin Variants Locations
Horriblin
  • Hyrule Caves
  • Eldin Canyon Depths
Blue Horriblin
  • Hyrule Caves
  • Death Mountain Depths
Black Horriblin
  • Hyrule Caves
  • Gerudo Desert Depths
Silver Horriblin
  • The Depths
  • These monsters will appear more often after you’ve beaten enough Horriblins.

To complete “A Monstrous Collection 2” in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you have to use the Camera.

  1. Activate the Purah Pad’s Camera by pressing the L button.
  2. Align the target Horriblin within the frame and press A to capture their image.
  3. Remember to save the photo in your Album, as you can only show it to Kilton that way.

Do note that photos submitted to the Compendium won’t work. If you already have a Horriblin photo in your Album beforehand, it will be marked with a “!” and you can skip this step.

Let Kilton see your photograph and Hudson will quickly carve the sculpture for everyone to see. Again, you can use the Ultrahand to drop the sculpture somewhere or use the stage to unleash your creativity. Talk with Kilton or Hudson once more to finish this quest. Completing Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom “A Monstrous Collection 2” quest rewards you with a Sneaky Monster Soup and unlocks the third questline.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available on Nintendo Switch.
