The September 2023 update for Disney Dreamlight Valley brought other characters from the classic Disney movies along with accessories, clothes, and more. This time, it’s Beauty and Beast, from the 1991 movie. Saying this was one of the most-anticipated updates would be an understatement, as fans of the movie can’t wait to get the couple as residents. However, those eager to invite these iconic characters must clear a few objectives first. That said, we’ll guide you on unlocking and completing Belle and the Beast’s ‘A Prince in Disguise’ in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Start a ‘Prince in Disguise’ in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Before we can start ‘A Prince in Disguise’ in Disney Dreamlight Valley, we need to access the world through the rose door on Dream Castle’s third central floor. To open the door, Merlin will ask for 12,500 Dreamlight in exchange. After accessing the new world, you must search the corridors until you find Belle. Also, you will need to complete her quest first. When you finish it, Dreamlight Valley will automatically trigger the ‘A Prince in Disguise’ mission.
Where To Find All Key Piece Locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley
When we start the ‘Prince in Disguise,’ Beast will ask you to follow a series of puzzles to find the 3 pieces of a key that opens the Enchanted Mirror chest. These are the locations of the pieces of the key in ‘Prince in Disguise’ in Disney Dreamlight Valley:
Hidden in a Hot Place in Dreamlight Valley
You must return to the library where you found Belle and approach the fireplace. The game will allow you to interact with the fire; just put it out with your watering can, and the piece will appear next to you.
Hidden in a Place Where Silence Roars in Dreamlight Valley
This key part is on the chest of one of the lion statues just outside Beast’s room. You only need the help of your pickaxe to destroy the stone decoration.
Hidden in a Thorny Place in Dreamlight Valley
To find the piece in this puzzle, you must go to the labyrinth in the Beast’s castle. It is located one exit before you reach Bella’s library. The key will be found right in the middle of the rose bushes; you need to dig it out with the shovel.
Once you have all the pieces, return with Beast so he can put them together and give you the complete key. This key opens the chest in Beast’s room, where you will find the Enchanted Mirror, with which Beast discovers the ideal gift for Belle. Beast will then ask you to collect the following materials to create the Book Kit for Belle:
- 20x Fiber
- 1x Empty Vial
- 3x Purple Falling Penstemon
- 1x Feather from a character in your Valley (You can ask for it with Donald or Scrooge)
When you create the Book Kit, you must return to Beast in his castle and deliver it. But before you can give it to Belle, Beast will need to make himself presentable, so he will ask you to help him find the following objects in his room:
Beast Brush: You’ll find this one in the chest in the corner of the room, near the harp.
Princely Cologne: It will be on the small round table next to Beast.
Princely Shampoo: It will be on the table next to the bathtub.

Now looking better, Beast will find Belle in the rose maze, where he will apologize and give her the book. With everything arranged, Belle will ask you to help her place Beast’s castle in the Valley. So you must return, and from your inventory, you can position the castle so that Belle can enter the valley. Upon Belle’s arrival, she will give you a letter that you must deliver to Beast to convince him to go with you.
