Disney Dreamlight Valley has different realms with characters from Disney and Pixar titles. You get to meet them pretty quickly and even make friends. And with the latest update, the Beauty and the Beast Realm has appeared in the game, in which you will find Belle and the Beast. Of course, each of them needs your help. Before you can unlock the Breaking the Code quest in Dreamlight Valley, you need to collect 12,500 Dreamlights and unlock Beauty and the Beast Realm. Then, complete some quests, and Belle will move into the Valley. From now, you need to increase your friendship level until you reach level 4.

Belle’s father created various inventions that mostly didn’t work. But now Belle wants to try to make one of his inventions, which will start the Breaking the Code quest. Your first step is to find three of Maurice’s Design Pages:

  • Travel to Beauty and the Beast Realm and go to the Beast’s room. Go to the portrait on the wall, and you will find the first Page lying on the floor.
  • The second Page lies in front of the tree in the hedge maze.
  • The third and final Page can be found on the floor of the library.

After this, you need to return to Belle and give the found Pages. She will unite them to get a complete blueprint of her father’s invention, namely the Translation Machine. For it, you will need to collect several resources. But one of them is special, namely Motherboard. Therefore, to progress in the Breaking the Code quest, you must visit WALL-E. He will be happy to give you the part you need. You can also get the rest of the materials easily :

  • Softwood (30) – Can be found lying on the ground or obtained by uprooting tree stumps.
  • Tinkering Parts (4) – Can be crafted from Iron Ingots.
  • Glass (20) – Can be crafted from Sand and Coal Ores.

After collecting all the resources, you have to craft the Translation Machine at the crafting station. Then, take it to Belle to check its functionality. Your last task in the Breaking the Code quest in Dreamlight Valley will be a small quiz; Translation Machine will ask three questions that you have to answer. Fortunately, even if you choose the wrong answer, you can re-choose the correct one. But to save you time, below we have collected the correct answers to all questions:

  • Philippe
  • Everybody knows it’s in Chapter 3
  • …a clock, of course
