Don’t let those Gibdo eat your soul, and learn how to complete Chichim Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom. Some ToK shrines are in plain sight; their green spiral-y aura draws you toward them. Sometimes you’re gliding through a random part of the desert, and your Shrine sensor starts going off. You do a 360 scan around you and see nothing, making you wonder if the thing’s broken. Chichim Shrine’s difficulty lies in finding it, not solving it. Once you access the area within it and pull several levers, you’ll get your reward without any additional effort.

Chichim Shrine is located south of the Gerudo Desert, under Palu Wasteland. It’s a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.

Teleport to the nearest Skyview Tower and glide southwest until you spot a whirlwind of sand. That’s your cue to take a leap of faith and land in a secret cave called the Ancient Prison Ruins. This is a friendly reminder: there are loads of mineable ore here, so don’t forget to bring a boulder-fused weapon. Watch out for the Gibdos that haunt the prison that holds the Chichim Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.

Once inside the Ancient Prison Ruins, walk forward and use the Ultrahand to pull the lever. This will open the gate before you. Go ahead and pass through the gate.

Take a left to delve deeper into the ruins. When a Gibdo appears, take a right and keep walking straight. Look for a statue holding a sword, pointing to the right. Follow its lead and take the turn in Chichim Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.

Use Ultrahand again to pull another lever and turn right once more when the gate opens. In the next room, crouch your way under the tiny entrance on the right. Watch your step as you navigate the gates and beware of the electrifying surprises—remember, you’re walking on water.

Spot the exit above you and make your way toward it. Brace yourself as the ground crumbles, causing you to fall again. But don’t worry, another statue with a sword will guide your way forward in Chichim Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.

Bonus tip: You might encounter a Bubbulfrog here. Defeat it and grab an extra Bubbul Gem for your monster gear.

Finally, stand before the gated fence blocking your path to the Shrine and use Link’s Ascend ability to rise above. A treasure with a Gerudo Scimitar awaits on that platform, but most importantly, there are two stone slates you can remove with Ultrahand. This clears the path to the last mystery lever. Activate it with Ultrahand and witness the grand reveal of the Chichim Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.

Inside the Shrine, there’s not much to do, really. Just stroll to the center, claim the treasure chest with a Mighty Zonaite Spear, and head to the end of the hallway to grab your well-deserved Light of Blessing.

Tears of the Kingdom is available on the Nintendo Switch.
