The Clean Up DMZ mission is a Tier 3 mission that you can complete for the Shadow Company faction. This mission, alongside the others, was added to the game by MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded. This mission tasks you to extract 8 remaining gas canisters from the Zaya Observatory secret lab in DMZ. This is directly linked to the MW3 Shadow Siege reveal event, and here’s how to complete the Clean Up DMZ objective.

What Are The Objectives of The Clean Up DMZ Mission?

  • Extract 8 gas canisters from Zaya Observatory.

If you have played the Shadow Siege event that was related to the Modern Warfare 3 reveal trailer, you know what this mission is all about. During the Shadow Siege event, we acted as a Shadow Company soldier. Under the command of Shadow 0-1, AKA Philip Graves, all Shadows raid Zaya Observatory to uncover the secrets of an elite Russian group labeled as Konni.

Later, we learned that the Konni group in that event is directed by no other than Vladimir Makarov himself, the main villain of the upcoming MW3 game. Now, after that event, we follow the story through the DMZ missions of Season 5 Reloaded. Again, tasking for the Shadow Company, we need to extract 8 gas canisters to complete the Clean Up mission.

First things first, you need to have a backpack that is capable of carrying 8 items. This means you either need a medium or a large backpack. If you have one, awesome! If you don’t, just run a Raid Weapon Stash contract, and you’ll find a large backpack for free. After you get one, head to the location below to start the Clean Up DMZ mission.

Here, you’ll find the remains of the Zaya Observatory’s secret lab. Just like the Shadow Siege event, go through and look for the canisters. However, this time, you won’t face a single target inside this area. Be free and look for the gas canisters in this location. These items can be encountered anywhere inside this secret facility, and there are more than 8 to find.

Once you’ve found 8 gas canisters, it’s time to exfil and finish the Clean Up DMZ mission. This is a tier 3 objective, so it’ll give you a 400 Shadow Company faction reputation. You’ll receive 10K worth of XP to progress in ranks and battle passes while also getting an FJX Imperium contraband weapon as a reward.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2, DMZ, and MW2 Season 5 Reloaded is now available to play.
