Are you looking to complete the Codgers’ Quarrel side quest inย The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?ย One of the many side quests available in the game, Codgers’ Quarrel, can be picked up as soon as you discover Kakariko Village. It includes a relatively short adventure into the nearby Ring Ruins to quell an argument between two villagers and get them to return home. If you’re looking to complete this side quest but are unsure where to begin, this guide is for you.

To start Codgers’ Quarrel, travel to Kakariko Village. Makasura Shrine is the nearest fast travel point, but the village can also be reached by gliding in from the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower. After arriving in Kakariko Village, head to High Spirits Produce, the general store with the carrot sign out front.

Inside the store, speak to the shopkeeper Trissa, who will apologize for the store’s limited stock. She’ll explain that Steen and Olkin, who normally restock the shop, have gone to explore the Ring Ruins but haven’t returned. Offer to go look for them, and you’ll be awarded theย Codgers’ Quarrelย side quest.

To find Steen and Olkin, you will want to travel to the Ring Ruins southwest of Kakariko Village. There are various ways to get there, but we had the best luck traveling to Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower and gliding directly east. If you’ve completed the North Necluda Sky Crystal, Josiu Shrine is also an easy, fast travel point.

After reaching the ruins, you’ll find Steen and Olkin outside, arguing about how to best deal with the monster camp inside the ruins. Rather than get into the middle of that argument, enter the ruins and defeat the monsters yourself. A few in the central clearing are defeated easily enough, but watch out for archers that may be perched in the ruins above. With the monsters defeated, return to Steen and Olkin, who will resolve the argument and return to Kakariko Village. Before you follow them, be sure to read the stone slab within the ruins if you need it for the “A Trip Through History” quest.

Return to Kakariko Village and enter the produce store to complete the quest. Talk to Trissa again, and she’ll thank you for your hard work and reward you with an Endura Carrot. In addition, now that Steen and Olkin have returned, the store has more items to sell you. Congratulations, you’ve completed theย Codgers’ Quarrelย side quest!
