After finishing Below and fixing theย Ore Hoist, it’s time to complete In Her Wake inย Diablo 4. During In Her Wake, you will experience quite a few critical things. One of your party members will abandon you and lose all hope. You will find all of your reinforcements dead and learn that Lilith is walking Sanctuary and is a threat to everyone. You must press on through Kasama and be brave for Neyrelle and her mother. Continue reading to learn how to complete In Her Wake inย Diablo 4.
Completing In Her Wake
First, speak to Vigo. He will tell you that you need reinforcements. However, when Neyrelle tries to respond, she is quickly interrupted. You hear some strange noises beyond the gate. Keep going to make it through In Her Wake.
Next, you must head over to the Gate of Kasama. When you approach the gate, you can interact with it to open it. Upon first glance, Vigo determines that the escort of Knights is dead. However, he quickly notices one of the Knights still moving around and making noise. The Knight’s name is Grendan.
Now, you have to speak to Grendan. You can ask who did this to him and the others when you interact with him. Grendan tells you that one of the women Vigo sent was only in disguise, and she was the Daughter of Hatred, Lilith.
You also learn that Neyrelle’s mother was spared and is still alive. Swords, spells, and prayers did nothing against Lilith, and Grendan tells you that you must go to KorValar to tell Reverend Mother Prava what is happening. At the end of the conversation, Grendan regretfully dies, leaving you to the next portion of the In Her Wake quest.
Vigo quickly takes off, realizing he is doomed and cannot help. Now, you and Neyrelle must complete the rest of the quest alone. Head over the gap in the stone by jumping when prompted, and search for Lilith and Vhenard with Neyrelle. If you follow the path down the stars, you will encounter some of Lilith’s Blood Petals. Inspect the Petals to begin a cutscene in the In Her Wake quest.
During the cutscene, you will learn that Lilith did leave Neyrelle’s mother alive, as Grendan told you. Neyrelle has difficulty believing you since you saw it in one of your visions. You explain to her that you can see visions of the past by inspecting Lilith’s Blood Petals. Now, you must push on and open the Ancient Gate to progress through In Her Wake.
When you open the Ancient Gate, many Vile enemies will ambush you. There will be a couple of Vile Overseers, a Vile Shaman, and dozens of Vile Ones. To get past this, take out the Vile Shamans first. The Vile Shamans will summon more Vile Ones the longer they are alive.
After that, defeat the rest since they won’t return due to the Shaman. Once you’ve defeated them, head farther down the path to search for a way deeper into Kasama.
Follow that waypoint farther into Kasama until you find an area that allows you to climb down when near it. Now that you’re down on the lower level of Kasama, you can explore a bit more. Keep wandering the path until you come across a large gate, the Gate of the Cradle.

Please walk up to the Gate of the Cradle and interact with it to open it. This will complete the In Her Wake quest in Diablo 4. You will be rewarded with 1,544 Experience Points and 450 Gold.
