To clear the first tier of Faction Missions with White Lotus in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 DMZ, you must complete “Look Out” on Ashika Island. The goal of this mission in the DMZ mode is to discover the location of an IR Beacon. Once it’s been found, the beacon must be transported to a dangerous High Threat area — Tsuki Castle. Ashika Island might be smaller than Al Mazrah, but that does not make delivery objectives easier due to the isle’s congestion of both enemy AI and other Operators.

The first objective of the “Look Out” DMZ Mission in Warzone 2 is to find the IR Beacon location on Ashika. More specifically, the objective states that the beacon has been “left on the rocks off the northern coast of Ashika Island.” You might think that you’ll be checking the small rocky outcroppings on the northern side of the island’s beaches, but this isn’t the case.

The IR Beacon is actually far out north in the ocean, northeast of the Drifting Supply Bag.

  1. First, make your way to the coastline north of Oganikku Farm.
  2. Check your map for icons of a PWC or boat, and use one of these watercraft to travel northward.
  3. Once you’ve reached the rocky outcropping near the map’s red border, look for a small red beacon atop the rocks opposite the tallest boulder formation.
  4. Use your vehicle to return to the northern shores to continue the “Look Out” Mission in DMZ.

Swimming out to the beacon’s location is possible if you feel inclined. However, such an approach will leave you vulnerable both to enemy AI patrolling the coasts or PvP-craving Operators looking for trouble.

With the IR Beacon now in your inventory, your next objective is to place it on the roof of Tsuki Castle. In particular, your goal is to put the beacon directly by the flagpole above the tallest room where you would encounter the Bombmaker boss. Ashika Castle is a very populated area in terms of AI soldiers. Therefore, we advise you to approach the castle from the southwest cliffs northeast of the Beach Club.

Once you’ve arrived, leap over the gap below and use your parachute to glide across to the lower rooftop. An ideal spot to perform this action would be the ridge to the upper right of the Underground Waterway’s cave entrance.

Once you’ve landed on the roof of Tsuki Castle, climb your way to the tallest point on the building. Approach the flag and place the IR Beacon to complete the “Look Out” DMZ Mission in Warzone 2. If you’re struggling to pinpoint the exact location of the IR Beacon on Ashika Island, LaserBolt’s video here will help:
