This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Not-So-Good Boy refers to discovery quests. Therefore, you need to start it yourself. More specifically, players must reach level 1 friendship with Eshe and visit her as often as possible. One day, you will see an exclamation mark above her head, which indicates that it is time to start the Not-So-Good Boy quest in Palia.

Eshe will complain about Hassian’s companion, who stole her newspapers for 2 weeks. After this, she will ask (order) you to find where Eshe hid the rest of her papers.

At this stage of the Not-So-Good Boy quest, you can go in search of Tau’s hidden stash of papers or collect more information from Hassian and Tau:

  • Hassian will correct you that Tau is not his dog but a faithful partner. However, besides the advice to look for traces in Bahari Bay, he will not help you.
  • Well, Tau, he’s a good boy, but he also won’t tell you where he hid the papers.

Since everyone told you to look for traces of Tau in Bahari Bay, that’s where you need to go to complete the Not-So-Good Boy quest. But don’t rush. As soon as you enter the location, look on the road to find traces of Tau. Maybe he got dirty with mud or something. Either way, it’s in your favor, so follow the tracks to the rock on the right.

The tracks will end on grass, which can be a bit confusing for players. But all you have to do is climb onto the rock and find a pile of dirt there. Dig it to find the Semi-Chewed Newspaper. Then, return it to Eshe to complete the quest and be rewarded with 300 Gold, 15 Renown, and an improved relationship with the Good Boy.

That’s all you need to know about how to complete the Not-So-Good Boy quest in Palia. Tau traces can confuse you, so follow all the steps described to find the papers without any problems:

  1. Talk to Eshe to start the quest.

  2. Try to find out more information from Hassian and Tauе.

  3. Follow the Tau tracks to Bahari Bay.

  4. Return Semi-Chewed Newspaper to Eshe.
