To progress through Genshin Impact‘s update, you should learn how to complete the Returning Curios World Quest. Returning Curios is a world quest that becomes available after completing all three Secret Summer Paradise quests. You’ll obtain valuable chests, Primogems, Mora, and other resources by successfully completing the Returning Curios quest. To start this quest, you must talk to Idyia, who will explain the first curio’s location. Once you have completed the Secret Summer Paradise quests, the Returning Curios quest will be automatically unlocked.
First Chest Location in Returning Curios World Quest
The first curio in Genshin Impact‘s Returning Curios involves a puzzle. Idyia will give clues about the “lamplight” and “seat” areas. Explore the surroundings to find the designated location that corresponds to these clues. Once you have found the site with a table with a lamp, sit on one of the chairs, and a chest will spawn. This is enough to solve the puzzle and get the first curio.
Second Chest Location in Returning Curios World Quest
The second curio is an exquisite chest inside a cave. Head to the designated location on the map and board the Choo-Choo Cart to reach the cave’s depths. Inside, there will be a Streaming Projector puzzle to solve.
- Push the barrel to the right until it’s next to the platform above.
- Use the Streaming Projector to enter Preprint’s world and progress in Genshin Impact‘s Returning Curios.
- Jump on the barrel and use the elevator to reach the portal on the top right.
- Keep heading right until you find the treasure, and then make your way to the top right to exit Preprint’s world.
- Returning to the real world, you’ll find a treasure to dig to your right.

Once you have obtained the treasure, return to Idyia to complete this part of the quest.
Third Chest Location in Returning Curios World Quest
The third and last curio in Genshin Impact‘s Returning Curios is a Luxurious Chest that can be found where “blue rooftops” and “white candy floors” are. Head to the designated location on the map and search for the scattered Hydro Eidolons. Once you send them back to their original spot, a Luxurious Chest will spawn. Open the treasure and return to Idyia to progress to the final portion of Genshin Impact‘s Returning Curios.
After chatting with her, she’ll ask that you bury a treasure in the designated location. Just go there, take your favorite Memento out, and bury it. This completes the quest for good.
