The Irradiated Waters DMZ mission in Warzone 2 is a Tier 5 Redacted faction objective. This is the final task before the Tier 5 story mission of the Redacted faction. And it is easy to complete if you follow the instructions provided in this guide for you. The mission again takes place in the Koschei Complex, so you should be prepared for some PvP and level 3 AI fights. But we’ll try to give you the best route to finish as quickly as possible. Here’s how to complete the Irradiated Waters DMZ mission in Warzone 2.

What Are The Objectives of The Irradiated Waters DMZ Mission?

  • Find Geiger Counter.
  • Find 4 nuclear fuels in Koschei Complex.
  • Extract the fuels from the Koschei Complex.

To start this mission, the first thing that you need to do is to find a Geiger Counter. This item can be found as ground loot in Al-Mazrah and Ashika Island. But as you need to proceed to the Koschei Complex for the second objective, finding the Geiger Counter in Al-Mazrah is better. Now if you couldn’t find this item while looting, you should know that making a Secure Nuclear Material contract is a guaranteed way to find it.

Now after you’ve acquired the needed item, head towards the Taraq Village entry of the Koschei Complex. It’s the one you can find in the north, under the bridge that connects Al-Mazrah City and Taraq Village. You should enter the Complex from this entry only, as you are going to be looking for nuclear fuel items. These fuels can only be found in the Barracks section of the Koschei Complex, which is in this entry only.

If you have already gathered all four pieces of the Heated Madness weapon blueprint, you know where Barracks is. However, you needed a Rebreather field upgrade to find that blueprint’s optic attachment, and here you won’t need one. Unless you want to do the Irradiated Waters DMZ mission much easier and stay underwater as long as possible. Once you’ve entered the Koschei Complex from the Taraq entry, here are the locations you should be looking for.

Where To Find The Nuclear Fuels in The Koschei Complex?

To find the first nuclear fuel, take the first left after you enter the door. This one is quite easy to find, and you can use the Geiger Counter by pressing L2/LT to locate the item much faster.

For the second nuclear fuel, follow the pointers on the walls to get out of the water. Once you reach the section above the water, you’ll find a nuclear fuel standing on a crate.

To find the third nuclear fuel in the Irradiated Waters DMZ mission, you should be looking for a laser trap in the section you found in the second one. Disarm the trap by going close to it, and then you’ll spot a drop zone for going into the water again. Here in this area, you should follow the arrows on the wall once more to find the right direction. You need to proceed through until you find two doors on your right. Take the second one, and you’ll be inside a room with a whole on its wall. Enter the whole, pick the third nuclear fuel, and get out before you choke underwater.

Now for the last nuclear fuel in the Irradiated Waters DMZ mission in Warzone 2, you need to enter the hole in the wall, which is located inside this area. It’s super easy to find and doesn’t include second or third navigation.

After you’ve acquired all four nuclear fuels, all you need to do is follow the wall’s pointers. Doing so, you’ll reach the Chemical Plant’s airlock, and once you open it, you’ll reach the dark section. Now you can go on and loot further in the Koschei Complex. But it is recommended to exfil and do your last objective. If you die during the Irradiated Waters DMZ mission in Warzone 2, you need to start the steps all over again.

After you exfil using one of the available elevators in the Chemical Plant, all objectives for the Irradiated Waters DMZ mission will be complete. Remember that you can always use the Geiger Counter to find the nuclear fuels during this mission. The higher number you spot on the counter indicates how close you are to the item you’re looking for.
