During the “Missing Farm Tools” Side Adventure in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link discovers Zelda borrowed farming equipment but failed to return the tools. Penn of the Lucky Clover Gazette has caught wind of the situation and asked that you investigate the whereabouts of these tools. You can start the “Missing Farm Tools” side quest by speaking with Penn at Wetland Stable, a landmark by the Hylia River and east of Hyrule Field. Specifically, the stable sits slightly south of Rebonae Bridge.
Completing Missing Farm Tools in Tears of the Kingdom
To complete the quest of “Missing Farm Tools” in Tears of the Kingdom, you must assemble a raft to traverse the Hylia River. To get started, speak with Izra, the owner of the borrowed farming equipment. He can be found at the small pier by Wetland Stable. Izra will inform Link that Zelda said she needed the tools for something at Floret Sandbar.
While Izra does have a basic raft to travel downriver to the Floret Sandbar, it’s evident that his watercraft is anything but ready to embark. Fortunately, Link is equipped with the Ultrahand, enabling him to build the raft using the nearby parts on the river rocks. To begin, speak with Izra once more to have him sit atop the raft.
Using the Ultrahand, you must attach three parts to the raft in “Missing Farm Tools” in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Follow these steps to properly build the boat:
- First, grab the piece with a two-pronged fork and attach it to the front of the raft. This part will serve as the steering device, so ensure it’s facing upward.
- Pick up the round fan-like instrument and place it at the back of the raft. The blades must face the boat’s stern.
- The third and final piece goes atop the round propeller device, as it serves as your watercraft’s battery.
Once the boat is ready, you can use your Ultrahand to reposition the raft to have it move down the flowing river. Alternatively, you can speak to Izra to embark. Continue following the linear waterway until Izra directs you to stop at a small dock. Luckily, there’s no need to carefully park the boat, as the game will send you directly into a cutscene.
After your arrival, Penn will descend from the sky and join you — he is a bird, after all. However, your landing will be abruptly interrupted by Magda, who’s nervous you’ll trample her flowers. Izra will explain the situation of Zelda borrowing the stable’s tools but failing to return them. Magda will then state the equipment has been used to manage the plant sanctuary at Floret Sandbar.
The side quest will finish with poor Izra getting trapped into helping tend Magda’s flower beds. This point in the Side Adventure marks the conclusion of the “Missing Farm Tools” quest in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Penn will be more than pleased with your help and will reward you with a Silver Rupee, which is equal to 100 Rupees.
