How To Complete the Rat’s Nest in Gray Zone Warfare

Leave no nest unturned.

By now, you might’ve figured that Handshake gives Gray Zone Warfare all sorts of dangerous tasks, such as Rat’s Nest. However, we think focusing on this NPC’s missions is great as they all provide players with enough baddies to shoot and dust off those co-op shooting skills. For the Rat’s Nest quest, players must find two hideouts, defeat the enemies, if there are any around, and then retrieve some intel for Handshake and return it to the camp. It sounds like a walk in the park, and it kind of is, albeit with a few bullets flying above your head.

To find both hideouts in the Rat’s Nest task of Gray Zone Warfare, you can use the above image as a reference. Also, we did this as the Lamang faction, so other soldiers might have it differently. If you’re part of Lamang, you land on LZ1 or LZ2, depending on where you want to go first. Both hideouts are pretty close to each landing zone, so it all comes down to personal preference. Here’s the location of each hideout:

  • Hideout #1: From LZ1, head toward the Gas Station, cross the fields, and you’ll encounter an old building with red graffiti on the side. Enter this building to find the documents.
  • Hideout #2: From the Water Tower close to LZ2, head northeast, and you’ll find a two-story building. Here’s where the documents are.

For the first hideout, you’ll find the documents on a desk as soon as you enter. For the second one, get to the second floor and pick the smartphone. Once you do these steps, you can return to your base and hand in the task. You’ll get a backpack, $3,600, 400 experience, and 100 reputation points with Handshake.

This task is a bit more challenging than previous ones as both locations are guarded by enemies. We recommend taking a few squaddies with you, or if you play solo, sneak your way through the buildings and bring a weapon with scope to clear both locations from afar.
