How To Complete The Red Smoke DMZ Mission in Warzone 2

The Red Smoke DMZ mission in Warzone 2 is the story objective of Tier 5 Redacted faction. This mission requires you to travel between Ashika Island to Al-Mazrah, only to light four flares on all four entrances of the Koschei Complex. The mission is simple overall, but you need to know exactly where to go in order to be able to accomplish this final Redacted task. Here’s how you can find the flares and raise the red smoke in the Koschei Complex!

The Red Smoke DMZ Mission Walkthrough

Find and extract 4 flares from Ashika Island.
Smoke and light all four flares in the Koschei Complex entrance from the inside.

The first thing you want to do in this mission is to choose Ashika Island as the map to play DMZ. Once inside, head towards the Downtown section of the map to find a dead drop. If you’re having trouble finding this dead drop, the image below is your direct guide!

After you’ve opened the dead drop:

Pick all 4 flares inside it.
Place the flares in your backpack, and exfil from Ashika Island.
Remember, if you opened the dead drop and there were no flares inside it, you need to exfil and start the match again. In this scenario, another player has already taken the flares. Hence you need to restart.

Now after you’ve extracted all four flares from Ashika Island, you need to choose them on your active operator and head to the Al-Mazrah. Once in Al-Mazrah, enter the Koschei Complex from one of the entrances. You don’t need to enter the Complex from a specific entrance for the Red Smoke DMZ mission in Warzone 2.

When you get inside, just follow the arrows on the walls to reach the Chemical Plant section. After that, just wander around the dark area to find the bunker doors and other entrances to the Chemical Plant. As soon as you stand at each entrance, you’ll see an interaction button on the screen. Just press it, and the flare will be planted. The mission will be complete once you place all four flares.

Remember, you need to light all your four flares on each Chemical Plant entrance from the inside. If you miss one of the flares and exfil from the Complex, you need to do the steps again. Also, the same scenario applies if you get killed during the mission.
