As you climb the corporate ladder by helping out Ryujin Industries, you’ll eventually be tasked with infiltrating a rival company. Called the “Sabotage,” this is one of the toughest stealth missions that you can do in this game. This isn’t surprising, considering this is one of the last missions in the Ryujin Industries Faction Mission chain. This Starfield guide will help you find the Neuroamp Prototype and complete the “Sabotage” Ryujin Industries Faction Mission.
Starfield “Sabotage” Ryujin Industries Faction Mission Walkthrough
Follow the steps below to fully complete this mission.
Speak with Dalton
Head to Dalton Fiennes’s office on the Executive Office floor. For now, you need to go with Dalton and Masako’s plan to reveal Imogene Salzo as the Infinity Ltd mole. Then, attend the conference meeting with Dalton and follow the plan.
Afterward, head down to the Research and Development floor and talk to Veena Kalra. Agree to be her test subject, and you’ll unlock the powerful Manipulation social skill for your own Starfield Neuroamp Prototype.
Use Manipulation on DeMarcus Sterling
Having Manipulation is extremely useful for taking control of NPCs’s actions. Such as directing them to go to a particular location, manipulating switches, and even stealing items! Now it’s time to take your new power for a spin. Go to the top of the R&D Office glass room, aim at DeMarcus, and do the following steps:
- Press F on your keyboard or LB on a gamepad to open the Scanner.
- Pick the Social option.
- Using the Scanner, aim at DeMarcus.
- Press the Manipulation button. A string puppet icon should now appear on his head.
- Aim and interact with the Test Room Keycard on the table near DeMarcus. He will follow your command and grab the key.
- Aim and interact with the Secure Door Control panel and DeMarcus will run to open it.
- Turn off the Manipulation on DeMarcus using the Scanner.
Once the door is open, go back down and speak with Veena again. DeMarcus is worried that there might be side effects to this mind control ability. But apparently, it’s good enough to pull the Starfield “Sabotage” Ryujin Industries Faction Mission job anyway. Head back to the Executive Office floor and speak with Masako Imada. She will task you with infiltrating Infinity Ltd and doing some hardcore corporate espionage. You will have to pick one of two methods to get inside the company:
- Sneak through the maintenance access on the roof.
- Use a fake identity and have a meeting.
Whichever you choose, you will be given the Stealth Operative set and need to complete three objectives. Access Lucas Drexler’s and Faye Sengsavahn’s computers then steal a prototype tech. Depending on which side you take, after the briefing’s over, either go back to Dalton’s office or head to Ularu Chen’s. Now it’s time to go to Infinity Ltd in New Atlantis, Jemison.
Enter the Infinity Ltd Headquarters for the Starfield “Sabotage” Ryujin Industries Faction Mission
As mentioned above, there are two ways to tackle this, Mission. But before you try to break in, make sure you save outside of the building. This should give you a place to reload if you failed your mission. Also, unless you’re heavy on roleplaying, forget about going stealthy. Killing and looting everyone will give you more Credits and XP.
Besides, the only difference between doing a stealth run and guns blazing is a short reprimand from Masako. If you do want to be stealthy though, remember to leave your Companion behind. The Adoring Fan is known as a bloodthirsty murderer in the community.
The Front Desk Approach for Starfield “Sabotage” Neuroamp Prototype
Go to Infinity Ltd’s front desk, ask about the appointment, and head to the Marketing floor. Yeah, don’t worry about wearing the Stealth Operative set from the get-go, no one cares for some reason. Speak with Aelys Ortiz and sit while he notifies his boss. Use this moment to start the Starfield “Sabotage” Ryujin Industries Faction Mission.
- From the waiting area, go straight and take a right to the toilet. It’s okay to run past Aelys, he won’t notice your strange behavior and your stealth suit.
- Go to the back of the restroom and climb the shelf. This will take you to the ventilation vent. Follow the path and you’ll reach the Executive floor.
- Carefully navigate the pipes to reach the platform to your right, then climb the boxes.
- From the boxes aim at Lucas Drexler standing in front of his office to Manipulate him. Don’t be scared to get into his line of sight though.
- Manipulate him to open the door to his office and hack his computer.
- Now go back to the restroom. Exit the toilet and take a left. Keep following the corridor into the employee’s canteen, then take a left.
- Open the vent, drop down, and carefully follow the quest marker while navigating the pipes and platforms.
- Get into the vent, drop down again, and you’ve reached the Research and Development area.
- Just keep sticking to the pipes on the left wall, go through the vent, and you’ll arrive at Faye’s office’s shower room.
- Exit the shower room and take a right to the stairs. Faye should be busy admiring the wall. Manipulate Faye and use her to unlock her computer.
- Once done sabotaging, walk down the stairs and take a left to the orange door. Walk past the corridor and slowly crouch while approaching the office room.
- Manipulate an Infinity Engineer to open the door to the prototype room. It’s the door plastered with Secure Access text.
- Carefully head inside the room and close the door behind you. Manipulate another Engineer to close the blinds while you access the security console to deactivate the security.
- Grab the Starfield NeuroAmp Prototype and exit the building. You can either do so by going back to the shower room and using your Boost Pack to jump into the vent hatch. Or stealthily make your way through the main R&D door.
The Roof Approach for Starfield “Sabotage” Ryujin Industries Faction Mission
Here’s how you can finish the “Sabotage” Faction Mission through the Infinity’s roof in Starfield:
- From the entrance, go to the right side of the building. You can do so by following the optional quest marker.
- Take the stairs until you reach the top and head inside the roof access.
- From here, you can see a Security Guard across your location. Manipulate him to turn off the fan system.
- Drop down through the fan blades and turn on the heating system. Doing so will complete the optional objective and trigger a gas leak, evacuating most staff members from the building.
- Nevertheless, the Guards will stay inside. Head back to the stairs and take a left into the vents.
- Follow the path then drop down to the Executive floor. Follow the quest marker while navigating the pipes.
- Drop down in front of Lucas Drexler’s office while making sure the Security nearby doesn’t detect you.
- Enter the office, close the door, and hack Lucas’s computer. This will complete the first “Sabotage” Mission objective in Starfield.
- Exit the room and jump down the railings. Be careful not to fall from the platforms too, though.
- The Security Guards here for some reason are very sensitive toward noise. Manipulate the one Guard in front of the door to stay away from you as far as you can. Then cross the platform very slowly because there’s still another Guard in the room below you.
- Now, enter the vent shaft and drop down into the Marketing floor’s restroom.
- Exit the toilet and take a left. Be careful because there are Guards standing by in this area.
- Keep following the corridor and make your way into the employee’s canteen, then take a left.
- Slowly walk up the stairs and you’ll find Faye’s computer. Look for Faye’s Keycard on the table so you can access it.
- Go back to the shower room and use your Boost Pack to jump into the vent hatch.
- Now from the pipes in Step 1 or the picture above, jump across to the right side of the room. Then keep sticking to the right wall.
- Once you reach a dead end, jump down to the walkway.
- Hug the pillar in front of you and quickly run and jump across. This will make some noise and you’ll be detected for a split second by a security camera.
- Stay put below the stairs for a while because a Guard is going to check the noise. Manipulate him and send him off.
- Walk up the stairs and access the computer to turn off the security camera.
- Put your access card on the panel in front of the Security Access door. Close the blinds surrounding the Starfield NeuroAmp Prototype, turn off the security, and grab the prototype.
- Go back to where you came from to escape the building.
