The Zanmik Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom looks like a complex Shrine, but it’s easy to complete. As intimidating as it seems, you just need some creative thinking to complete it. You won’t need any flying like in the Mayaumekis Shrine or combat like in the Teniten Shrine. You only use the Ultrahand to move objects around and attach them together. The process is straightforward once you break it down into simple steps and understand the purpose of the objects. Here’s what you need to do to solve the Zanmik Shrine, with each step demonstrating how the objects work.
How to Complete Scoop It Out with the Zanmik Shrine
The Zanmik Shrine is found in Hateno Village. When you enter the village, head straight and cross the bridge over the water, then turn left and head to the Hateno Inn. Head northeast of the Inn across the wooden bridge, then go up the slope until you reach the house at the top. Finally, turn right from the house and you will see the Shrine within walking distance.
The Shrine has two levels but your primary objective is to put a ball into an open slot. Drop down to the lower level and you will see the balls under a giant wheel. The wheel won’t move and the height between levels is too tall for you to simply push a ball up.

Near the giant wheel is a yellow device that supplies power. It turns the wheel but the connection is broken. There are some metallic squares nearby that can act as a wire to transmit the connection. Use the Ultrahand to move a square between the markings on the ground that look like a wire. If the placement is correct, a connection will form and the giant wheel begins to move. This is the hardest part of the Zanmik Shrine; the solution should be apparent to you by now.
There are several balls underneath the giant wheel, but you only need one. Use the Ultrahand to attach a ball to the giant wheel. Don’t worry about proper placement, since the wheel has enough space for a single ball to move to the top.
If you have the time, you can drag out the balls below the wheel manually, or create a small “scoop” with the four squares. Either method takes out the balls, revealing a treasure chest with a Zonaite Longsword inside.
Make your way to the upper level and head towards the ramp leading to the ball-sized slot. Wait for the ball to reach the ramp, as it becomes stuck and detaches itself from the wheel. It won’t move on its own, which is where the Ultrahand comes in to place it into the slot. This opens the door leading to the Shrine and the Light of Blessing. There’s nothing else to do as you have completed the Zanmik Shrine!
