During Buzz’s Level 10 Friendship Quest, “The Definition of a Hero,” Disney Dreamlight Valley players are tasked with crafting several items needed for the Star Command Academy Grand Opening, such as Asphalt. The reason this particular recipe is required is that Buzz wishes to have decorations for his academy’s opening ceremony. This ceremony will occur once Dreamers have helped Buzz recruit three Villagers to join his newly found academy. Asphalt, a Blue and Silver Balloon Arch, and several more Space Ranger decorations are required to make the Star Command Academy Grand Opening happen.
Crafting Asphalt in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To see the recipe for Asphalt in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players must open their Collection, enter Crafting, and scroll down to the Fences & Paving section. Asphalt should be one of the first entries and has its recipe displayed at the bottom of the screen. Crafting this refined pavement requires Sand, Pebbles, and Coal.
The first resource needed to craft Asphalt in Disney Dreamlight Valley is Sand, which can be acquired from the Dazzle Beach biome. Similar to how Soil can be obtained from digging at any spot in most of the biomes across the Valley, digging up random plots of the sandy shores of Dazzle Beach will yield Sand. If players want to speed up their Sand-farming process, they can bring along a Villager whose profession is Digging. Moreover, fans are recommended to bring this Digging Villager along for farming Pebbles and Coal as well since these two resources are also procured using the Royal Shovel.
To get Pebbles for Asphalt in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players must use their Royal Shovel to unearth the ground in Dazzle Beach, Forest of Valor, Sunlit Plateau, and Forgotten Lands. Digging up dirt or sand in any of these biomes will eventually yield Pebbles. The third and final material needed for crafting Asphalt is Coal, a resource used for both crafting and cooking. According to the Disney Dreamlight Valley Wiki, Coal is primarily obtained through mining mineral nodes found in every single biome of the Valley. Keep in mind that “The Definition of a Hero” requires 20 stacks of Asphalt to progress the quest, so 20 stacks of each of the three resources must be gathered.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
