In Remnant 2, you will meet many different enemies that will stand in your way. The most exciting are the bosses, which players love for the challenge, combat mechanics, and designs. Below you will learn about the main one, namely how to defeat Annihilation in Remnant 2. Heading to the end of the game, every player should be prepared for this battle. The fight will be hard, and you will need to learn more about the boss’s attacks, his strategy, and the methods that are best suited to defeat him. Don’t worry, we have prepared all the necessary information for you.

Beating Annihilation in Remnant 2 Explained

The final boss can be found at the Blackened Citadel located in Root Earth. Annihilation is a very strong boss and you will face a difficult and long battle, so you should definitely prepare for it. Create a good build, and choose the best mods, mutators, relics, and rings that will give you an advantage in battle. Also, don’t forget about perks.

If you don’t know which class to pick, we recommend choosing Handler or Medic to be able to survive longer on the battlefield. In addition, invite your friends to the battle so you can distribute responsibilities in order to defeat the enemy. If you are ready for the battle, then you need to learn more about the boss’s abilities and moves, of which there are many. To defeat Annihilation in Remnant 2, you have to complete two phases. Let’s start with the first one.

First Phase

Annihilation will immediately attack you with its massive sword, so be prepared to dodge right away. Don’t forget to maneuver and use your advantages during the battle to have a better chance of survival. Here are the attacks the boss can use in the first phase and how to dodge them:

Attack Action How to avoid
Drag Swing The enemy will plunge the sword into the ground and fly rapidly toward you. When the blade is close to you, Annihilation will take it out of the ground and fly it back into the sky. Roll or run away from the estimated location of the sword.
Malware Slam The enemy will fly into the air above you, then swiftly slash his sword in your direction. The attack can be repeated several times in a row. Dodge the first hit, then keep evading until the enemy finishes the attack.
Malware Wave The enemy will hit the ground with one of its claws, causing a shockwave that will travel across the battlefield. The attack is very dangerous because it can kill you in one hit. Roll or run away from the estimated location of the sword.
Malware Orbs The enemy will create several orange orbs in the sky that will hover and be connected by energy. Eventually, they will start moving toward you to deal damage. The enemy will not attack you while the orbs are on the battlefield. Quickly destroy them with a firearm to avoid taking damage.
Malware Lightning The enemy will form red circles on the battlefield. If you are within their range, you will be struck by lightning. Avoid staying in the red circle areas.

By skillfully dodging these attacks and shooting the enemy in its weak point, the head, you can easily complete the first phase, proceed to the more difficult stage, and finally defeat Annihilation in Remnant 2.

Second Phase

The second phase will be more dynamic and difficult than the first. If you follow the rules of combat with this enemy, all you have to do is react in time. To defeat Annihilation in Remnant 2, Keep shooting him in the head and dodge his attacks, which are now completely new, namely:

Attack Action How to avoid
Malware Orb Storm The attack is identical to Malware Orbs, only now there will be more of them. You need to destroy them. If you do, it will cause the boss to pause for a few seconds and you will be able to deal damage.
Tendrils On the battlefield, tendrils that look like giant tentacles will appear from the ground to your right and left. They will not attack all the time, but they will inflict damage at the most inconvenient moment. Watch out for them and dodge when they start moving.
Malware Blocks During this attack, the enemy forms lines of blocks that fly rapidly at you to hit you. There are two variants of the attack, horizontal and vertical. To dodge the horizontal, simply move to the right or left of the flight path. To dodge a vertical one, you need to crouch down.
Energy Rain The enemy creates red circles on the battlefield, placing them in three rows, and then lightning strikes these zones. Try to move away as quickly as possible when the enemy starts an attack.
