You can disarm enemies in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 by holding the triangle button and pressing R1 to drop your target’s opponent. Holding the triangle button is for holding the opponent, and if you tap it with the attack buttons, you can shoot yourself towards them for a heavy hit or a silent takedown. However, if you hold the button and can control your target with some skills like the Web Whip.

The Web Whip skill is essential for disarming enemies in Spider-Man 2. This skill is unlocked by spending skill points in the shared skill tree. The skill tree in this game has three branches for Peter and Miles and a shared one between them. Now, if you look at the left nodes of the shared tree, you’ll see the Web Whip skill. You’ll need to unlock the previous two skills to get it, which requires three skill points in total.

How To Do Parry Disarm

One more move that you can disarm the enemies within Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is by parrying the enemy attacks. This requires another skill called the Parry Disarm, which is on the same shared skill tree as the Web Whip. With this new skill, if you parry the enemy attacks by pressing L1 at the right time, your opponent will be stunned and disarmed.

Now, while disarming enemies in Spider-Man 2 is a great option to have, if you haven’t unlocked any of these skills yet, you can just dodge the bullets by pressing the circle button. When opponents lock their weapons on you, Peter and Miles’ spider senses will get triggered, and you’ll see a white line drawn from the enemies’ guns. Press the circle button when this line turns red, and you’ll successfully dodge. One final tip: do Spider-People a favor and always try to take out the targets with weapons first.
