If you’ve been craving a big XP bonus and some free cosmetics during Season 7 of Diablo 4, then you should be diving straight into the Lunar Event. It won’t be around for the entire season, just until February 18, which gives you two whole weeks to grind. And it doesn’t matter if you’re playing on the Eternal or Seasonal realms in Diablo 4—the Lunar Awakening is available to both.
How to Earn Ancestral Favor Reputation in Diablo 4 Season 7 Fast & Easy
First things first, you’ll want to head over to Ked Bardu in the Dry Steppes to start the Lunar Awakening questline. You’ll speak with Ying-Yue, who will mention shrines granting fortune to those who use them all over Sanctuary.
Now, while the Lunar Awakening is in effect, shrines all over Sanctuary will be turned into Lunar Shrines. When you use one, you’ll be granted multiple effects. You’ll earn the shrine’s power, but also 100% multiplicative XP, and monsters you kill will grant Ancestral Favor reputation.
To maximize the amount of XP you gain, here’s what you should be doing:
- Chugging your preferred Elixirs and Magic Incense
- Running Nightmare Dungeons, Rootholds, The Pit, Kurast Undercity, Helltides, or Witchtides
- Playing on the most efficient Torment difficulty level
Anything that has a lot of monster density is going to be perfect for grinding XP.

Once you’ve earned enough Ancestral Favor reputation, you’ll unlock tiers, just you do with Season 7’s Coven Favor reputation. You can check where your reputation is by speaking with Ying-Yue in Ked Bardu.
