In true action-adventure fashion, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales has several collectibles for players to find, mainly cats and weapons. Now, while some might think these are just optional objectives you can look past, the truth is that the former are needed for the True Ending, while the latter will make several encounters much easier. And while the game eventually marks the location of all of the above, here we’ll show you how to see cats and weapons on the map in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales.

Obtaining the Magic Compass

The first thing you need to do is play through the story until you get the Magic Compass. This will happen naturally while following the story and reaching the Age of Magic. Once there, you’ll get it as a key item, alongside the Cat and Weapon Needles. Unfortunately, both of these items will be useless for a while, as you need to first unlock the ability to turn cats in.

Meeting the Ailurophilic Traveler

The next thing you need to do is progress through the story until you meet the Ailurophilic Traveler, which will also happen naturally. Here, you’ll get a quick tutorial on how to collect cats, befriend them, and then get rewards for doing so. After you complete that quest, you’ll be able to see all cats on the map, regardless of the Age you’re at. From here, you can teleport to the dungeons or main city to look for the felines. Remember that some of them may run away after spotting you, so make sure you use your Sprint ability.

Finding Weapons

At this point, you should already have the Weapon Needle, but it still won’t work. Head to the Age of Reconstruction and grab the quest called “Calotesia’s History Lesson.” You’ll need to go to the Forest Ruins at that Age and find the green chest at the second level of this dungeon, more specifically, at the far left corner of the area. Once you have it, give it to Calotesia, listen to her story, and you’ll get the Better Weapon Needle, which will now show all weapon locations on the map.

With these items in your possession, you don’t need to do anything else. They will activate by themselves, meaning that you’ll be able to find all cats and weapons in The Adventures of Elliot easily.
