Whether you have Early Access to the beta now or eagerly awaiting it to unlock, many Modern Warfare 2 players are exploring everything the current build offers. One of those features is the classic clan tag. A clan tag served as a way for you to stand out and for you to connect with a squad of friends. We will show you how to quickly set up your Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 clan tag so that you and your squad can all rock the same calling card.
Editing Your Clan Tag in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Beta
There are many familiar features in Modern Warfare 2. However, many are also unavailable at the moment. So, you can expect more aspects of the game once the full build is out. For now, you can jump in and edit your Modern Warfare 2 clan tag. Whether you want something unique just for yourself or you want to sync up with your friends, there is an easy way to do it.
First, check out the top right of your screen. There you will find various buttons such as your player level and a bell icon. Select your options button to bring out a pop-up menu. Switch through the tabs until you are on your player icon and see the following options:
- Edit Calling Card
- Edit Emblem
- Edit Clan Tag
Simply select “Edit Clan Tag” and you are now able to add to your Modern Warfare 2 name. A max of 5 characters can be used.
Of course, you can’t use profanity or any type of offensive or hateful language. So, remember to keep it clean so that you don’t risk a ban. You can use a combination of letters and numbers though. This way, you can easily come up with something distinctive.
For now, this is all you can do with the clan tag in the Modern Warfare 2 beta. More features are expected upon the full release of the game.
